Good morning ladies.
Impressive list of seedlngs blackcrow, fingers crossed they all produce lovely healthy food for you. I used to grow all my summer flowers from seed, but lost heart a couple of years ago. I won't go ito the reasons why but suffice to say a man was involved, ditto Chalky!!!
Lovely blanket as always, my squares are not all grannys, they're a mixture of all sorts, I hope thats ok?
ISOM Todays mantra, do not let a man anywhere near your purse.
Jean well done on mastering kitchener, which my mum used to call grafting and tried to tell me how to do it over the phone many years ago, impossible. Took me a long time and a few diagrams to get it. I still have to use instructions.
On a non knitting note, have you seen the weather forecast for the bank holiday weekend!!
Hope all is as well as possible Salome.
Kathy you must be having such fun, hope the sun is shining for you.
maytaurus and everyone hope you are all well and smiling,
Lots of love to everyone. xxx0 -
Why oh why do I do it? I decided last night that I really wanted to do a bit of crochet - well it grows quickly and I was thinking that the poor giant who ends up with the slipper socks would like a wrap to match, - a true fashion statement - so I hunted out PRFUNGI (PAM) wrap pattern - well that took me ages, then I converted it to EEENGRISH (cos its USA and I know from experience I always screw that up if I leave it in yankie), so make a start, well I am so chuffed with myself about 4 rows done BUT I had only just cast on the second slipper for Gerrard the Giant and I also see that I have 9 wee teddies to sew up and stuff (currently my OCD project- thanks Chalky for the obsessions) that I just can't stop making. Oh and to add to that lot I really should de fuzz the leggies, sort out a suitcase and pack it, I just have to get my crinkley hair to lie down flat before Saturday, do a wee bit of shopping for essentials - wine tanker and beer drey required. I have a great book on the go too, so I shall now go and make lunch and ponder just what sort of priorty list I can make.
Chalky great colours on the lapacuddley, sending love and sunshine to everybody - just watch it change prior to my arrival in the UK, BUT I HAVE WELLIES and they can travel too. - will pop back a bit later, Ya all take care, ya hear
xx
oh anyone know the collective noun for a bunch of teddies

evening all
i am a bit late on today, but have had a very busy day. in the gym at 8am so that i could fit in some french homework before i went to visit my sister. we chatted 19 to the dozen (and she watched in fascination as i crocheted a beanie - she doesn't knit or crochet, i am the only one that does) until the kids came home from school. my niece is 2 - going on 17 and my nephew is 3 - going on 21. they are soooo funny and come out with the most hysterical things. my niece told me that she had hip hops in her mouth - i was most surprised (what are those you ask) what she meant was that she had hiccoughs. my nephew told me that he had a brain in his head to help him think! i just love them so much, they are just toooo funny.
anyway, have another beanie finished, but they look like scull caps, and my sister thought that they might not be warm enough as they dont cover ears, so i have just spent the last hour looking for another pattern. will try it out and if not, will find another few and ask the kids what they think is best.
have a fab evening everyone. i hope that you are all okay and if you are not feeling tops here's a virtual (((((hug)))) for you.
be well

black crow the incident on the OS was very upsetting but I can tell you the the lady on the receiving end is improving and will hopefully be back soon. your sound very green-fingered!!!

I have started on chalky squares and I have dug out 1 of my many projects which is a little baby cardi and all it needs now is buttons so that will be done asap and then see where it can be sent.
