Hi everyone - I've just found time on the computer to catch up with you all and hope everyone is well.
Elaine - it must be a very emotional time for you right now. Lots of (((hugs))) to you all.
F1 - I'm glad someone found the pattern you were looking for; it's so annoying when you know something exists but just can't track it down.
K2tog - I hope you feel better soon.
Welcome to SEA78 - great to have you with us.
Thanks to you all for your good wishes about my week with DS2 and his family. We are having a lovely time and it's been wonderful to spend the time with DGD2. She is such a smiley little thing. Every time you look at her she just beams at you! It's been so good to be able to give her her bath, help feed her and so on. We went for a long walk around one of the local parks yesterday and she is interested in everything around her. She likes to be busy at every moment apart from when she's asleep! It's lovely to have them all here at last. I'm really going to miss them when they go but I'm trying not to think about that bit!
Anyway, Chalky , I hope you are having a good time with your family.
Blackcrow - your Noah's Ark is stunning - a real work of art.
Maytaurus - I haven't had time to study your latest links but will save them for when I have more time! I hope you are feeling well today.
Thanks to you all for your totals. Jean has very kindly offered to do the update for me yet again (thanks, Jean, you're a star!) despite being very busy herself. I haven't been near my wool this week but will try and get some squares done while we're talking over the vino here!
Anyway, I'm off for another cuppa. I'll try and catch up with you all later.
Have a great day.

Getting exceedingly excited now only 6 SLEEPS till I go on my round Europe holidays, haven't packed, haven't cleaned the house. I am still doing sewing, knitting and crochet - well I need to impress Lou at LH with all the things I have cobbled together and the saving on my postage costs will be fantastic (forget the fact I have ferry/hotel and spending money - doesn't count) Ha Ha.
Hope you all have a great day with sunshine in your lives, back a bit later then
Jean

morning all
bc - love the arc - so beautiful and clearly time consuming.
kathy - hope you are loving having the family around, it must be fantastic.
jean - good luck on your travels, i bet it will be fun. i agree with the saving on postage and making a long journey and delivering them in person. i fully intend to do that with the south african stuff (for me any excuse is good enough)
may - welcome back and what interesting patterns you have found, that really did wet my appetite.
f1 - let me know how you get on with that pattern for the "go-overs" i was going to try them, but there looked like too much sewing for me, so i just crochet big versions of the oxfam sweater, which only has sewing on the underside of the arms and down the sides. works for me, but very interested in what you think.
i love the new challenge on the loving hands website (thanks for the link) - i think i would love to contribute. i have some squares for pet blankets, but would like to do a shawl or wheelchair wrap, but dont have a pattern for either .... may or anyone, any clues?
oh well, need to move my carcass and get some work done - i have to do the ironing today too, and the shopping - yuk!
have a lovely day everyone and happy hooking/stitching.

Hi everyone,
Just popping in quick to send you all lots of ((hugs)).
LH challenges look really good, might have a go at the jumpers for chooks later when I get a minute.
Ds1 still home with his chicken pox a lot better in himself now so hopefully he'll be back at school in the next couple days.
Take care all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Thank you maytaurus
I have a design already that she has worked out and the colours she's chosen, I can crochet (just need to brush up).
Really what I was asking for was 'Does anyone have a made up blanket that they could weigh for me'.
This would give me an idea of how much in total I need her to buy and how many of each.
Sorry if I wasn't clear in 1st post.

Hi Lilaclillie
I've just finished a ripple blanket that measures 186cm x 138cms and it weighs 1200g. It was made up in Robin DK acrylic and has been washed, so it may have weighed a little more before. Yours will be a bit bigger, so 1500g should do it.

afternoon all
just flying in as i have a ton of ironing and mending to do weekend went in a blur and do really feel like i achieved much. I did finish a red white and blue handbag it looks ok, i hadnt got a pattern so it sort of got ad-libbed and grew into a handbag from a square. ive done another red white and blue sqaure but not sure what that will end up as yet - its too small for a blanket or cushion cover front so will put it to one side and see what comes up.
jean i hope your european tour goes as planned
backcrow that arc is fantastic, well done
kathy so glad you are enjoying having your family around you
hope everyone else is well
sounds like everyone is pleased with the new LH challenges, ive printed off the chook jumper pattern and im hoping to try at least one of those.
hugs to all especially those who need themSPC~12 ot 124
