OH LADIES I NEED YOUR HELP - Im going to loose it very soon if I dont find a pattern im looking for - its for a jumper made up of squares for the children overseas etc - Im sure it gave instructions from children to adults and now I just cant find it - does anyone know ??????????????????????????????? before I get so stressed the computer will be launched skywards - I saw it recently then went onto something else and did not print it out hmph!!!! (my own fault)

Hi sea78 and welcome - chalky squares are an idea from chalky on here - 8" squares of any pattern any colour which she has admirably agreed to sew together for blankets to be distributed to good causes at the end of the year - likewise Mrs Twins (although Im not sure of the size for Mrs Twins - Sunshine Blankets - I think they are called) and again she is lovingly sewing them up to give to good causes made up of bright sunny colours xx

sea78, mrs twins squares are 6", chalky's are 8". However you like to make them, knit/crochet/plain/patterned.

sock knitter, it was your recommendation that inspired me to try the KK.

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me out.
My friend has asked me to crochet a blanket for her, she will supply the wool.
I haven't crocheted anything for some years and need help with how much wool to buy.
Her blanket size is 144cm x 202cm (does that sound right??)
I wonder if anyone has a knitted or crocheted blanket about this size, that they could weigh and give me a rough idea of how much DK wool I'll need her to buy.
She is going to the west end to get it and works full time, so I need enough yarn so that either of us won't need to go back and forth for more.
A rough estimate is all I'm after.
    Help please.
