Hi everyone-- Late for me but have been chasing my tail all day and DMIL is keeping us busy . She is 80 this year and very frail in body but has a steel like will to keep going!! She is knitting Spanish baby hats as well as giving a running commentary about politics and all that is wrong with the world. I go off into Lala land but it winds DOH up !!!!

Firstly a big welcome to tootifrutti Lovely to have you join us. Thanks for the offer of some squares ---- Yes 8 inch and double knitting. Lovely, lovely ,lovely.

Well of course we are due to fly back next Friday but we shall see how everything unfolds this wekk ash wise. DOH is supposed to be jumping out of an aeroplane a week tomorrow so he will be disappointed if we are delayed. I think he needs certifying but that is another story. Our 3 children gave it to him last birthday. Personally I would not want to jump off a pavement but there we are !! Differences make the world like a box of Liqourice Allsorts!!

My lovely DIL has just started a blog but is despondent as I am her only follower so if anyone would be kind enough to pop in and leave her a comment ( without saying I directed you !!! ) I would be ever so grateful. She really is a lovely girl and has tried so hard with knitting and crochet

Love to one and all and sleep well x

wow me first again...! Suspect poor old miol is hidig under the duvet...or trying to find it from being moved. Hope that its going well there with the renovations and that things are back to normal soon.
No wooly stuff for me yesterday. Had a lovely morning with a friend who treated me to coffee and cake. Sun is shining again here which helps lift the glums...hope people are ok and that the sun is shining with you. Fingers crossed re the ash..my bro in France has missed work because of it but better safe than sorry! Incredible what effect it can have on a planes engine but I do feel for people its disrupting. Chalky my cousin did a tandem dive and loved it...Im with you and felt physically sick just watching! Shaz hope you are feeling brighter today!

    Good Morning one and all.

I have to report that I have had a serious attack of WGD (Wool Grooming Disorder)
this morning. I came down the stairs in my dressing gown and found myself organising my boxes of wool and this was even before a cup of tea.
Suddenly I realised the situation to be far graver than I originally thought and became aware I had caught another serious condition-- namely DSAS

SYMPTOMS--- A feeling of intense unease almost causing feelings of anxiety and panic.
A disbelief that the event has happened
A constant checking to see if there is a way that the symptoms can be relieved

DIAGNOSIS --- DSAS Diminishing Stash Anxiety Syndrome!
CAUSES--- Hooking activities such as --

    IMG_2238.jpg?t=1271580598

    and

    IMG_2237.jpg?t=1271581255

Also symptoms can manifest themselves in a serious clicking almost like a repetitive tic!!

    IMG_2236.jpg?t=1271581328

CURE--- Flying back to the U.K and a visit to a specialist clinic known for its wonderful restorative properties. Also known as a wool shop!!!

There might be a slight delay before treatment can begin because a strange geological eruption has made travelling impossible at the moment. Buying Cheap Chinese wool in Spain does not help the symptoms at all and actually makes things worse.

MBP -- My Blog Page similar to NHS Direct has advice and information plus pictures of both diseases and manifestations for your information
