Hello ladies - thanks so much for asking after me - yes Ive been quiet unusual for me tee hee ... - have been packing and sorting and dealing with new budget sheets etc and just have felt blurghhhhhh so have been lurking although you know my la la brain - Ive forgotton half of what ive read so I will try and catch up

psso - jayden is just gorgeous - I do like a baby with a bit of flesh on them (hope I dont offend you or DD) - reminds me of my DS - its those cheeks you just cant help nuzzling and kissing them --- oooo makes me quite broody - you must be a very proud Nanny - the cardigan is beautiful - lovely to see a baby in knitted soooo cuddly mmmmm xxxx

prfungi - so lovely to hear from you sorry that things have been so hard for you - but hopefully it sounds like you are breaking through - we have missed you - big hugs xxx

Books - I like to read and have stacks of books as yet unread - I mainly read true life - stories of peoples lives in the country that kind of thing - autobiographies - my little sis and I always buy each other a book a xmas (its become standard) and there is nothing like a brand new book - I do tend to buy my books at car boots and charity shop (latest one was Disused Railways of Northamptonshire which FIL is reading at moment)

kathy - Im hoping you are getting through the worst - all I can see is you following the dust and muck round xxx

Baby Hats for Spain - Ive done a couple this last week - one looks huge!!! - I took ISOM's advice and joined Ravelry to look for patterns - spent a long time looking on there I can tell you - I must learn knitting in the round though - last time I tried circulars went across the room .....

Pink Wool - sorry Ive forgotton who wanted pink wool - can someone tell me ??

ISOM - didnt realise lodger was going so soon - will you be hunting for another xx - hope you are ok xxx

DH is home for a couple of days so we have been filling some boxes - watching the F1 practice - we are in China this weekend - I have to say that whilst DS has been home the last few weeks Ive done little housework though just sorting - cant cope with not doing the housework - knitting has been slow too - will be glad to move really
Anyway - hugs and much love to you all - especially those suffering at the moment xxx

    Afternoon all!

Slightly shattered again having travelled back to my sister's yesterday. Decided to drive to nearest service station to pick up some milk and managed to take the wrong turning off the roundabout on the way back - this resulted in my first time driving in the dark for aprox 15 years(bearing in mind I only started driving again at all a couple of months ago!) so a somewhat wearing day all round.

Still, it's nice an sunny this afternoon and I've got some washing on the line and I'm continuing with a Chalky square while I catch up with all your news as the borrowed computer I am on works at a speed reminiscent of dial up on a bad day!

How's the violin going, ISOM? Have you got the bow sorted now?

Lovely to hear from you pfungi, and hope that the dark clouds are starting to receed a little for you

Big hugs to us all as we stuggle to cope with what life throws at us - there's an American thing that goes around t'Internet saying that when life gives you lemons you should make lemonade. I have to admit that whenever I see it I want to throw a lemon - possibly wrapped in a pulled up sock - at the screen! My positive action is to come on here and share the real caring, empathy and good nature that I know will be here.

    Hello everyone

Can I join you in a little way - I am always full of ideas but never seem to get them finishes so I am hoping being on here will help - I am usually only on the fly-lady threa - Hi SGT!!! - but have a stack of wool that needs to be dealt with and I am loathe to give it away just yet.

Do you do your own things or are you just doing charity things - I would have read through the thread but 4200+ posts will take me too long!!!!

I have seen 'Chalky's squares' on several signatures and always wondered what they were!

hope you dont mind me jumping in.

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to Tootifrooti - great to have you with us. Forgive me if I don't brief you with all the relevant info at the moment. Chaos has reigned supreme in my neck of the woods making online activity a bit hit and miss this last few weeks. I will do my best to come back on here later and 'fill you in' so to speak, although I see that In Search of Me has given you some info to be going on with!

I hope to start getting back to normal soon - today I've spent trying to book DS2's ferry over here for next week, but I'm getting absolutely nowhere - all the ferries are taking extra bookings due to the air chaos. BIL has now left and we have a major re-organisation to do here with just a week to get straight if DS2 and his family do actually make it here!

Will get back to you later - I now have to go out and get some food!

Shaz - sending great big (((hugs))) to you.

Maytaurus - hope you are OK?
