    Morning all,

Kathy/Chalky what lovely things you have both said, you brought tears to my eyes. I popped in as I knew you would all cheer me up as I was feeling a bit down, ds2 went back to school today and its always upsetting as he takes a week or so to settle back in.:(

Kathy what a time you are having, I always feel like I'm in the way when there's lots of work going on. I think they forget sometimes that it's your home. Lots of HUGS for you.:grouphug:(Is it me or does this smiley look a bit dodgy!!)

Elaine AAAwww so cute, he is so lovely I want a cuddle.:)

A quiet day for me today so I'm going to be knitting, bliss.:D

Hope all is well with everyone, hugs for all.x

    ………….throws cap in first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone, here I am, thank you so much for your concern and kind messages.

I have struggled since Mum died in January, working through sad thoughts and dark places realising eventually that I probably didn’t fully grieve for my DH as Mums stroke happened so soon after I lost him. Since that thought I am feeling better as the weeks go by.

PamsPal has, as ever, been a loving support despite difficulties in her own life just now.

I have been lurking a couple of times a week & keeping up with your news and lovely projects. So many new friends have joined in – a big welcome to you all, and best of all a new baby – psso you must be thrilled congratulations & hugs to Jayden – he’s beautiful.

Haven’t been knitting much but have managed to add to my list of stuff “in progress” – typical - have been reading quite a bit over the last 2-3 weeks, a sure sign I’m on the mend and I spent last weekend in the garden starting the annual tidy up.

I’ll post again soon – meanwhile thanks again for all your messages.

    Luv
    Pam:smileyhea

Pam how lovely to see you, and pleased to hear you're starting to come out the other side, grieving is a very personal thing and must be allowed it's own time. The only thing any of us really do is learn to live with it. Lots of love and hugs, we have missed you, and hugs to Pamspal to. xxx

mrs-moneypenny I've just noticed your sig, read all your books. I've read all mine, and am now rereading the Discworld series. I do buy odd ones from charity shops, and (very) occasionally I will give them. What are you reading now?

Pam - so good to hear from you. We've really missed you and been worried. You've had a lot of grieving to do, haven't you? I think you're right in that you didn't get the chance to grieve for your dear husband due to your Mum's illness, and losing her has 'allowed' you to grieve now, for him and for her. A dark place indeed for one person to inhabit, but you can take real comfort in that being there for them enhanced their lives and made a difference. It's time for you, now. I wish you well and hope that you go on feeling better - you'll never forget them or stop missing them, but you have permission to get on with your life - it's what they both would have wanted for you.

aww our little mushroom is back....its quite understandable that you have been hibernating..sorry that youve been so low but good that you are allowing yourself /have the space to grieve...while a horrible process its also an important one...
well done on reading...I seem incapable of the same page at present and look forward to the stage where I can read a book. Cruse offer fantastic support and materials to help with grief...cant recc them highly enough!
Off to dig I go and then pick up lots of wooly things from local freecycler! Am v excited!

Kinsey, ive got 130 books in the spare room that i havent read yet:o they are like wool i see them and buy them thinking ill get it read then dont have the time. so i have an equally big stash of wool and books.
my grown up reading is "Elizabeth & Leicester" a factual paperback about the life of elizabeth I, but im getting on better with the one im reading youngest DS in the evenings thats Kenzukies kingdom by michael morgurgo, its really good about a young boy who goes off to sail the world with his parents after they get made redundant then one night he gets washed off the yacht and ends up on a desert island with a strange japanese man, we are about 1/2 way though. I like tudor stuff my favourite in philippa gregory, but ive have quite an eclectic mix of books im determined to get through.:D

pam, its lovely to see you back

mrs m-p - i am just like you - i too have loads of books to read, but i keep buying more. at the moment i am into (and have finished) all the sookie stackhouse books by charlaine harris and also the twilight series by stephanie meyer. i love them!!! i have to ration my time between that and crochet and doing all the other stuff that i have to get done (like dishes). we have a mountain of dishes in the kitchen at the moment, but i cant wash them as i have a hole in my marigolds - well thats my excuse and i am sticking to it.

pam, how lovely to see you, welcome back. i was going to hold out making mushroom risotto until you came back, so guess whats on the menu tonight ....

oh well, nose back to the grindstone.
