Hi Everyone,
I've had an awful morning so I came on here as you always make me feel better and it seems I'm not the only one having a hard time.
I've spent the morning at hospital with ds1, he was due to have blood tests done, the cream they gave me to put on to numb the area didn't work on him and he felt it all, they couldn't get any out of his arm, so tried one of his hands which they got some out of but not enough, then they told me it was clotting and they couldn't use it for the tests. So they've given me a different cream and we have to go back next week. I can't believe our luck, he was doing so well not being scared and then that happens.
Mioliere - good luck with all the upheaval, I hope it goes as smoothly as possible.
Orkneystar - Hope you feel better soon.
Apollonia -What a shame, I was looking forward to seeing pudsey, will definately be getting the mag now.
Hope everyone is well, hugs all.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Orkney Star - hope you feel a lot better soon.
Only Girl - your poor DS; that must have been a terrifying ordeal for you both. I hope he's not feeling too sore now and that it doesn't put him off going back next time. Give him a big (((hug))) from me, and take one yourself, too! Having been with my son when he had staples removed after ops on his ear when they weren't ready to come out, I know how helpless you must have felt.
Apollonia - here's a link to the Wooligans. http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/?v=1&t=search&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=group&slk=1 You'll need to apply (details are on the site), then I need to approve you (I'll keep checking the site for your application), then you can post photos on there and see all the other photos of the things that our lovely group here have made.
Mrs Moneypenny - thanks for that great link!

Hi everyone - there's a lot more I should be doing right now, but I'm not needed at the coal face at the moment, so I've been working on my blog. I've changed it over from Weebly to Blogger because Weebly's features are a bit more limited, and they don't display comments, whereas Blogger seems to offer a bit more. I'm still learning about how to do it all properly, though, and it needs tidying up. I have more photos to add, but will do that when I've got a free hour or two! It does take time; I'm hoping that I can make mine as professional-looking and inviting as Chalky's and Attic 24's, but that may take some time! I've taken the old one off my homepage (which is on my profile on here) and put the new one in its place. When the update has been perfected, that will also go on there.
Thanks for all the comments on the old one - they are really encouraging!
Chalky - if you're reading this, hope you're settled in now, and look forward to your next post!

Afternoon all
Had a lovely morning with Mum, we sat and chatted for hours, she helped me with my colours for the next ripple blanket, I sorted them out yesterday but just could'nt get the last 3 right, so she sort of decided for me.
She has been looking through the Redicut book again and bought me a circular sock knitting frame and a book with loads of patterns in, because she thought "I might like to have a go at socks for a change"
She is really thoughtful and does things like that all the time. I am making her a ripple blanket but havent told her yet, she loves them so I thought I would surprise her.
Orkneystar - wrap up warm hope you feel better soon,
OnlyGirl - Poor little chap, what a shame having to go through it all again.
Elaine - thanks for the warning I'll keep well away from there then :rotfl:
Pam - your friend made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Kathy - hope you have your hard hat on,
Gingernutmeg - well done on the hats
Shelley - hope the stall went well
Off to my friends tonight for a glass of wobbly  will take my blanket with me and do a few rows, I really am getting hooked on ripple's.

My mum came over today, bringing with her the 15mm needles which I am using to knit my cardi. Wow, knitting with needles that big is so wierd!
She also mentioned that she had bought Simply Knitting yesterday, so I have asked if I can borrow it to scan the Pudsey pattern.0 -
ISOM - potholder patterns http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/potholders_hotpads.php
I'm sure that someone else will come up with crochet blanket patterns.
I know that it's more than nerve wracking, but at least you have a date for the meeting now rather than being in limbo waiting.
Moliere - love the new blog and the additional pictures0 -
Shezmit hope you made a fortune for the funds and your not too exhausted after a hard day
