    Evening all
Woke up to a lovely sunny morning, but it changed as the day went on and now the rain is hammering down.

Hoping to get into town tomorrow, should have been today but OH is working tomorrow so I will go then, but not if the weather is as bad as it is now.

I have the same trouble as some of you with sizing, and find a lot of times I have to go up a size for a comfortable fit, I am just 5'1" tall so length is sometimes a pain, shoes are ok as I am size 5 so I am lucky there.

kathy - wow your OH certainly knows how to treat a girl....taps and a loo seat.....what next I ask myself, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:( you really made me laugh with that) but all I can say is 'bin there done that' in fact we spent an hour in B&Q looking at door handles, and paint this afternoon ;)
pol - too right ripples are adictive, I am on my 4th :D
chalky - hope OH's back is better after the "magic" touch of Hector. Yes thanks I am pleased with getting it all done now but still have assorted body bits to sort out, am thinking I will leave them for another time.
shaz - what a great name for a shop,

I have had some grey wool given me, not enough for a jumper but maybe enough for a childs slipover so will make a start on that tonight, make a change from dolls etc.;)

Off to ring DS2 and DIL as DGS is poorly, he has a really bad cough and keeps being sick, poor little mite.

    Have good evenings all

Chalky - hope Hector works his magic on DH's back. Hope we hear from you during the week but will understand if it's not possible. Have a good week!

Pippa - yes, taps and a loo seat really show that DH is trying to impress me with his sense of romance! Hope your door handles and paint have made your day, too! Hope DGS is better soon, bless him. Give him a (((hugs))) from me when you see him.

Keiss - good to hear from you. I love that pattern. I always do sleeves at the same time - seems to make things a lot easier!

Off for a shower and a sit down.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Pippa hope DGS is better after a good nights sleep.

Shaz hope you're ok, I'd be like your mum, more worried about you.

Chalky have a lovely week with your friends but I do hoe you can pop in here now and again..

Kathy meant to say before, our last loo seat I had to buy it and fit it. Do you think the romance is gone?

Ah, Kinsey. I would definitely say the honeymoon is over :rotfl:.
Have just been on a trawl for patterns but have no idea what I'm looking for :o so thought I'd pop in and say hello to you all.
Hugs for those not feeling so great.
Yay for those with good news.
Will try for a proper catch up (and a long overdue update - I'm going to look like a knitting whizz but it's weeks and weeks worth!) over the weekend because I'm off to bed shortly.
Hope you all wake to blue skies and cheeriness :A

morning all. hope that you are all well and looking forward to a lovely day.

isom - thank you very much for the babette pattern - it is lovely, i cannot wait to start it. would you mind letting me know how many colours you used, 16 seems a lot to me. i am trying to decide what colours to use, but i am not going to get my knickers in a twist about it just yet.

i am off to visit a friend who i am reminding how to crochet, we have a chat and a cup of tea (and some cake) and it is really lovely. we have known each other for 10 years, and she is really such a wonderful person. i am really looking forward to seeing her.

other than that, my little nephew is beautiful, and apparently loves sleeping, he is such a cutie - its a pity he is in cape town, do you think anyone would notice if i kidnapped him. by the way, thank you all for the congratulations on his birth, i almost feel like i did it myself.

anyway, have a lovely day everyone, and i will be MIA for the next week as i will be in the lovely france for all of that time.

speak to you all on my return

Morning all! Not quite managed sunny here! Have to laugh as I have a stain on my fingers that looks like niccotine...eventually sussed that its the bamboo hook!!
Dp I did use all different cols but tended to stick to various hues of greens, yelow, blue and purple to be boyish. Here are a load of examples that may inspire you!

and here are the cols used in the original

I would do it qite systematically and with my next one will sew as I go along as its been a mare to piece it all togeather at the end...
Todays tasks are babette and lodger and I are off on a small jaunt! Enjoy craft club shaz! hugs those that need them...
