mrs m, our school hols start next thurs, must be different around the country. your probably right the tears and over reaction of scratching my car, was probably the release of all teh emotion built up over the past few weeks.
feeling much more positive now, just been to get a quote, and its 125 for doing the back bumper, which i thought was ok, was expecting it to be more. going to get more quotes later to compare.
just bought simply knitting, which has some lovely toys in, judging from the front cover and knit today which has a charity knitting booklet, so having a look at them with a cup of tea, then my craft group at one pm
sun still shinging here, but theres black clouds too

when can we send you the Chalky squares and where do they need to go this time please?

mrstwins can you pm me your addy for the sunshine squres please.

Shaz that does sound reasonalbe but as you say ring round first and get other qoutes before deciding what you are going to do. I hope it doesnt work out too expensive

Shaz leicestershire is a bit different to most other areas i think we used to have july fortnight off up untill recently so started our summer hls way beofre most of the country and ours move up from primary to high school at year 9 so get their SATS 2 months after changing schools which is a bit weird as they are still settling in.

just had a really nice surprise in the post, 2 postcards from eldest DS school saying how well hes doing in a couple of subjects and how proud we should be of him (had 3 girls go through that school and never had congrats post before:rotfl:) i think its nice that 'big' schools do things like that, our local high school sends text messages to let you know if your child is getting a merit or commendation certificate they say that schools only usually contact parents with bad news so they try to do positive stuff as well. sounds like the others schools in the area are taking note:T

Hi everyone. I don't know where the time has gone today. Oh yes, running round getting bags of cement - another exciting shopping trip!

Mrs Moneypenny - have pm'd you with Mrs Twins address, just in case she doesn't log on and see that you've asked for it. What a lovely idea for the school to send you postcards - you must be very proud of your DS.

Shaz - that quote wasn't too bad. I hope you have a great afternoon and I'm so envious that here in France I can't buy the same magazines!

DPixie - have a great time in France.

Well, let's see if I can get this bunny finished - I just haven't had time to even look at it today.

    Have a great afternoon, everyone.

Pippa, your 4th ripple, I’m impressed. Do you have a favourite type of wool for them? I’m just using acrylic for this one, but I was thinking of getting some cotton for a proper one next time. Would it be too heavy for the washing machine do you think?
Shaz, glad to hear that you’re ok after scraping your car, enjoy your knitting group this afternoon.
Dpixie, hope you have a great time in France.
Isom, when you find the missing squares you’ll be able to start another babette lol.
Mrs m, thanks for reminding me that the post is going up, I meant to get some stamps last week and forgot.

I’m still rippling and goggling at all the stuff on attic24. It amazes me how creative people can be on blogs like this. I made a scarf for DD, just a long narrow stripe scarf with bobbles on the end, and she’s had so many compliments on it already. I only copied it from a book and would never have thought of bobbles on it myself.

Hugs to all who want one, hope MIA’s are still ok, we miss you all
    Love

Keis 21- I am just about as excited as you are regarding your DS playing for my home team, hope it goes really well for him.
PIPPAS- wow you have really worked your socks off finishing projects, love the wee dollies! Loads of lovely patterns for future too.
Well I have had a horrible week, I ache in every bone, muscle and anything else, hope that is the end of my tour as a lumberjack. I spent this moring re threading (THREE ROTTEN TIMES) the big overlocker, heck knows what the problem was, seems to be fixed now but I have decided to give it a rest - well until tomorrow then.
SHAZROBO - hope you and your DS are feeling a wee bit better by now.
Mrs moneypenny - I am off to youtube to find that heart pattern and will sit and do a bit of crochet tonight.
Hope you all have a great weekend, I will be back - as and when I get the time on the pooter!
    Jean

Pippa the toys are lovely. I've got some of those books, some were mum's, and a couple I recognise but they've been lost or lent out over the years. Still wish we could have come and 'helped' you root.

Jean you must have worked so hard, you deserve a nice massage for all those aches and pains. Let's hope you get all next week in your lovely room. No, the wool isn't in the fridge, I'll buy some moe tomorrow, then it'll turn up.

Took my brother for more steroid injections today, Sheffield this time. Looks like they might have helped the reffered pain at least, fingers crossed.

    Love to everyone xxx

Pippa - well done; how hard you've worked on all those lovely dolls and toys. The pattern books look great; I have some of the Jean Greenhowe ones, and the Bazaar one, but you have some really interesting ones in that collection!

Jean - I hope you are finding it time to take it easy now! You must be really exhausted after all the deforesting. Enjoy some relaxing crochet tonight.

Kinsey - hope your brother's injections work.

Mrs Moneypenny - thanks for your totals. I'm going to try a sunshine square for Mrs Twins, now that I've found some really yellow wool. I thought I didn't have any at all, but I had another rummage in my stash and found about a third of a ball.

Pol - how lovely that your DD's scarf has been admired and had lots of compliments. You must both be really pleased.

Well, DH has been cementing the rest of the hall floor to raise the seriously differing levels. I'd have just slapped the tiles down but then we wouldn't have been able to play a serious game of marbles on it!

Anyway, I've finally finished the bunnies and will take some photos later which I will post tomorrow.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.
