hello everyone, been quiet in here today, hope you all busy doing nice things. went shopping today with a friend, she is a normal size, so she got loads lovely things. i'm too tall, nothing fitted right  and size 10 feet, and no nice sandals either. why do shops charge so much more for tall items, or bigger than average shoe sizes.
anyways, after clothes shopping, i took a detour to a lovely wool shop in leeds, called baa ram ewe, and rescued some sock wool, (all delicious pink girly shades.) and a set of knit pro interchangeable needles.
    hugs

Shaz - it's not fair that you have to pay more simply because you are tall; it must be really frustrating. I love the name of that wool shop in Leeds!

    ISOM - enjoy this evening.

Well, I've been shopping for taps - what fun! Oh, I was so happy looking at them all, as you can all imagine! And, as a real bonus, we bought a new loo seat which was on special offer - my life is now complete!

We started off with lots of rain this morning, then the sun came out, then it rained a bit more, and now the sun is shining again. The farmer whose fields are at the bottom of our back garden has put some of his cows back out - all young bullocks and all practicing being tough; we sat in the conservatory having lunch and really enjoyed watching them.

Anyway, I shall sit down in a minute and redo the last bunny's face; I am determined to get it right if it's the last thing I do.

Chalky - hope your friends have arrived safely.

(((Hugs))) to all who are unwell or MIA.

Shaz I have the opposite problem, five foot short and need size two and a half shoes, sometimes the european 36 fits and sometimes it doesn't. Also a size 10 so could buy loads of teenage clothes (and often do).

Kathy I've been making GD a bunny hand puppet and had the same problem as you, didn't like the first set of ears so changed them, unfortunately I sewed them on first, as invisibly as possible. What fun.

Kinsey - what tiny feet! I thought my size 4s were small. I'm 5'3" but can be a size 10 or 12 depending on the make of clothes I buy, so I always have to try things on first; I can't just guess. I must admit to not having bought any clothes since I moved here - if I need new things I wait until I visit the UK, but I really should be braver. The thing is, even the supermarket clothing is quite expensive here, so I really need to spend some time looking around.

Invisible sewing on of things can be a real nuisance, can't it? I hope you can sort the ears out.

Not that, poor, Kinsey; I've been back to the UK twice since we moved and had a bit of a spend up! But talking about it has made me think that I should start shopping here, really! Glad you got the ears done. I've managed to unpick my bunny's face so will redo it after dinner, then, at last, they'll all be ready for posting!

Shez, hope your Mum is ok and gets her op very soon.
May, lovely post as usual, nice to see you back.
ISOM, that babette is going to be lovely, you’ve picked some gorgeous colours there.
Jean, thanks for the pattern, have pm’d you.
Dpixie, congratulations on the new addition to your family. A wonderful occasion to celebrate.
Shaz, hope Daniel is feeling a little better today, it must be so difficult for you.
Elaine, hope you can shake the bug off quickly and get better soon.
Kinsey, what dainty size your feet are, it must be so hard for both you and Shaz to get footwear that you like.
Kathy, shopping for taps eh? Happy, happy, joy, joy.

Been trying out lots of little flowers and I was determined to start a ripple blanket after reading attic24 for the millionth time. It took me a couple of goes but I’ve managed it. I’m amazed how addictive it is though! I want to do another ripple as soon as I’m dressed in the morning and forget the housew**k. I’ll post a picture of the first few rows as soon as I remember how to shrink it to fit on here.

Love and hugs to all the MIA’s and anyone feeling low or poorly, thinking of you all.
    Love to everyone

Well we are all ready for our visitors they have a late flight !But DOH's back is still bad but we bit the bullet and booked him into "Hector" the magic back man tomorrow as he is being treated to a game of golf on Monday --- I will get a treat -- a few hours crafting!! And bless them all ,they will feel sorry for me !!! Hee hee!

I will pop on to have a "chat" with you all when I can without seeming anti -social
(as if). I am trying to decide what I can do crafting wise which will basically not include me spreading bits everywhere and something I don't need to concentrate on. A bit of " hooking" Chalky Squares wins I think. Will have to bring them home in June though as case is stuffed for our April Trip.

Kathy!! It will be so wonderful when it is finished -- hang on in there!!

Lots of love and gentle thoughts to one and all x
Try and do a good deed every day.

Shaz - I love that shop! I discovered it in February, and bought some Wensleydale wool to knit a jumper for my DH. I am still knitting it, but finished the front in hospital while waiting for my friend to come out from her appointment with an eye specialist...she was there for over 2 hours, so got lots of knitting done!

I have cast on one of the sleeves, and will cast on the other tonight, so I can knit them together..so much easier to make sure they end up the same length!!

Right, off to get tea underway...DH is returning from taking DS2 to Bristol Airport, who's flying up to Scotland for this weekend's training...so just the two of us tonight.
