    Hi to all

Kathy -- We are not travelling home to the Uk til the 23rd April but as we have visitors arriving for a week on Thursday I had to tidy the Crafting up and thought it might as well all go in the case under the bed!!

It is so full I can not bring anything else back until we come home in the Sunshine Bus in June!

Well I have just tidied up the Card Making shelf as well so progress going well

ISOM That blanket is going to be gorgeous. You must be soooo pleased.

    Sleep well everyone x

    Good morning, everyone.

Pippa - I'm gald you had such a good time on Sunday.

Shaz - hope you and Daniel are feeling better.

ISOM - your Babette is going to look gorgeous; I love the rich colours you've chosen - they work so well together. No wonder you're so chuffed with it - you have every reason to be! Can't wait to see the finished result so good luck with all that sewing up!

Chalky - I remember now that you said you were going back on 23rd April. I hope you have a good week with your visitors but you may find it difficult not to be crafting!

Jean - hope you've managed to have a break from all that tree-felling.

Pam - it's been a long time since we've heard from you. I hope you are keeping well.

Welll, bunnies all sewn up and awaiting expressions - I shall do their faces in natural daylight today, then sew the scarves on, then they will be ready to hop their way back to Hampshire to the grandchildren. I shall take a photo just before they leave! I've enjoyed doing them - just wish I had more spare time; they would have been finished sooner.

Well, the hall is half-tiled now. It's a big area so DH is doing half at a time, so more floor-levelling compound to be laid on the other half then that will need to be tiled, then the whole lot will have to be grouted, then a final coat of paint everywhere. I've asked him for the plan for the next few weeks which, apparently, goes something like this (and forgive me for wanting to scream and shout, because I'm dreading all the upheaval!): Hall to be finished by Sunday, kitchen and adjoining dining room ceilings coming out on Monday (one to be left vaulted right up to the roof), kitchen door to the conservatory to be bricked-up halfway, then a new window put in, windows in dining area to be replaced by French doors, old china sink to be taken out and replaced with a lovely shiny new one, kitchen units to be re-sited, more units and worktops to be added, and more electric points to be installed. When it will be tiled and painted, I don't know, because the following week, a huge beam in the front bedroom upstairs needs to be taken out and replaced - at the moment it's being held up with acro props because it is bending scarily! That - and sorting out the room - will need to be done by 9th April because BIL is coming up from the south of France to help re-site some radiators and take some old central heating pipes out. He will be here for a week with his 11 year old son, so I need to set up a crafty-type table and sort out things for him to do. They will be staying in the bedroom with the new beam, so I need to get that comfortable for them. Three weeks after they leave, DS2 and his family will be coming out for a week, so we hope that by the time they come, the place is all straight again. DH is under strict orders to make sure it's all dust free and safe for Summer, especially as she will be crawling! During all the work, we will be shifting furniture around and I still need to cook and clean, do my own online work, and try to function as normally as possible. Plus, I want to get some pots planted up in the garden. As you can probably tell, I hate all this going on around me. Every single house we've had, we've gone through the same, but this is definitely the worst one so far! DH absolutely loves it - and I don't, so I think I will have pulled all my hair out by the end of this one.

Also, during this time, I hope my headlights will have arrived, so they will need to be fitted, then the car re-MOT'd - at the moment we're down to the one vehicle which is a bit inconvenient, especially as I don't like driving DH's van because it has no rear windows!

Anyway, I'm sure I'll survive and, knowing that DS2 and family will be here soon will keep me going! The added bonus is that we won't be able to do any renovating while they're here, so we will both have a break and just enjoy their company. Any crafting I manage to get done while all the work is going on will have to be kept simple but I need to be doing something soothing like knitting and crochet, just to keep me sane!

Anyway, I've ranted and raved long enough, I think. Off for another cuppa.

Goodness Kathy, that's a lot to get done, let's hope it all goes to plan and you don't end up having to wear a wig.

Has anyone got any idea where I put my ball of black wool?

Lots of love to everyone xxx

Morning chums, just a quick visit before popping off to pick up little lad from nursery and going on to ASDA, supplies are running low again.

Kathy, lucky you having your hall half tiled already - the tiles we bought to put down in the kitchen have lain here for just over a year :o and we have the bare concrete floor with a long mat to keep most of the cold at bay. Obviously Jim became too ill shortly after we`d got them home and they`ve just been left sitting here taking up space. Looks like that might be my next project. Mind you the kitchen has been a WIP for several years off and on. Bits would be done but something more important would crop up - this time of year it was seed sowing, taking cuttings in the greenhouse etc etc which had to be done now - and the kitchen went on the back burner again ;) ah well ........one day it will be done.

ISOM, looks like the blanket will be gorgeous. Hope the head is better now.

Chalky, good to see you are organised with your case packed and ready to go.
Been telling DD for the last couple of days that she should have hers ready for going to hospital. Another waste of breath then :D, `plenty of time mum when the contractions start coming regularly` She`s so laid back she`s almost horizontal :rotfl:bet it`ll be a different story when the time comes tho`. Father of Bump has finally been in touch (only second time since she found out she was pregnant) to see if she needs anything. Told him he could buy the pram she would like :p but she`s not holding her breath. It`ll be interesting to see how much responsibilty he`s prepared to take. Made her blood boil when he said `his kid should have his last name not her`s`. She`s adamant it will have her name as she has gone through the pregnancy with minimal contact from him and no support either moral or financial. Wonder who she gets that from ;)?

Whoops, just notice the time, better get a wriggle on or I`ll be late at nursery.

Have a good day everyone, back later maybe.

    KINSEY - behind the sofa?
no cutting of trees today, school instead, then as soon as I can shunt them all out I will have another bash at some of the AA bags, everything is all cut out ready for me to just hit the machines. Hope you all have a lovely day, doing only the things you want or like to do.

Kinsey - under the coffee table, or maybe it's been stolen by a cat or dog? That would have been the case here - Louis is partial to a ball of wool!

Jean - I've been working this morning but will be finishing off the bunnies once I've posted this. I shall sit in the warmth of the conservatory. It's lovely weather again and I've just strolled out to the mail box and noticed that the blossom is coming out on the plum and peach trees. I'm glad you have a day away from tree-felling!

Mrs Moneypenny - doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, there is never enough time and, unlike you, I don't even have children here to look after. I take my hat off to you because you achieve so much despite having a busy family life.

Elaine - your DD is well within her rights to decide the baby's surname. I hope he does do the right thing by her but, with your support, she sounds determined enough to manage perfectly well without him.

Well, off to give three bunnies a face each - unless I get roped into helping with the tiling!

    Afternoon peeps :hello:
Lovely and sunny first thing but disappeared around Lunch time, and its
quite cold, ah well could be worse, at least it's dry

Kinsey - It's probably hiding away somewhere with my ball of yellow:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
ISOM - love the colours you have chosen, the squares look lovely and neat too, and the yarn looks really nice....well done, can't wait to see the finished blanket :)
mrs-m - same here....not enough hours in the day for all I want to do.....no young ones here either to claim my time,
chalky - you sure are organised, are you sure there's not a teeny corner to pop another couple of woolly things in ;):rotfl:
Elaine - good for your DD with the name, is she like her Mum by any chance :)
kathy - you make me feel tired just reading your post, and I thought I was busy ;)

Had a good knit last night and I finished the baby cardi, so I can get on and finish the last apron for the dolls my friend gave me, I really must take some pic's, they are all looking better now after a few finishing touches,I had to change the face on one of the dolls, my friend said "you better do something with that doll she looks evil" she did too, but not any more :D
    DOLLS
I needed to re-stuff them as they were a bit floppy
Put the mouths on some of them
Stitch on and reposition some of the hair
    Washed the pantaloons,aprons,skirts and hats
    TEDDYS
They all needed to be re-stuffed, could have done with more but could'nt get anymore in
Made a little skirt for the mama ted and sewed her hat on
Put new faces on all of them
    RABBIT'S
Just tied the ribbons round the neck's, could'nt re-stuff as they are knitted in snowflake and it's impossible to unpick it, they look ok though.
    CHICKENS
They are ok so nothing needed with them.

I am quite happy they are almost done now, its taken me a week on and off. Just got to figure out what to do with them for the best, as the dolls are 20" long it could cost a bit to send them through the post, might be best to put them in a box.
All ideas welcome :) hmmm well within reason:rotfl:

morning all, hope that you are well. i am a very happy bunny today - i was made an aunty (for the 5th time) at 11h10 today. my nephew (3.4kgs) and his mummy are both well, although i believe that my brother has bitten his nails to the quick and was far more panicked than my sister-in-law.

other than that, things are just peachy and i am trying hard to get the smile off my face.

    oh well, back to work.
