Shez - (((hugs))) to your Mum. Let's hope things go right for her from now on.
Shaz - if you stay feeling exactly the same for the next couple of days, you should go back sooner than a week's time. I really hope you start feeling better asap.
Well, dentist went well and I should have my new French crown in two week's time (well, two weeks and a day, because they are closed for Easter Monday). I also get my hair trimmed the same day so DH is expecting a whole new woman - as if! He's happily tiling his now-level floor and it's going to look brilliant so has been worth all the hassle.
We've had lovely sun all day today but the forecasters can't seem to make up their minds about tomorrow, so we'll have to wait and see. It's strange weather - a hard frost first thing then up to around 17 degrees by late morning!
Anyway, will be bunny-stuffing this evening, in a very kind way!

It’s been a beautiful sunny day here, which always makes me feel a bit better, even if I'm in bed I can have the curtains open and see the sunshine and blue sky when my eyes are open :j
Just trying to catch up with everyone
shezmit
Thanks for sharing the lovely picky of Kane, he looks like a lovely boy
I was going to say that I hope your mum is recovering well from her op.
So sorry to hear that they have had to cancel it again
It’s probably the stress of being ill & having all the cancellation that are affecting her
psso Great to hear from you, Elaine, I hope things are sorted re your decorating and room changes
Re;’ do any of you lovely people have a spare room I can hide out in pleeeeeease???? ’
I’ve got a spare room Elaine ... but it’s full to bursting with all the things that I haven’t been able sort out and people just keep putting more and more stuff in there!
Re;’ I was so mad that I had to go and scrub the bottoms of some pans - I always do that sort of thing when I`m - it gets them really clean. DS came into the kitchen when I had my Mum`s big old cast iron frying pan in my hand and stood well back just in case it went in his direction - he`s been threatened with it round his lugholes before - don`t think I`d be able to lift it high enough tho` it`s sooooo heavy. Haha.’
I always used to do the cleaning thing when I was mad /upset, but I can’t now l-o-l
When ‘Chalky`s magic carpet picks you up for this afternoons fun. Tea, biscuits and a masseur’ can you pleeeeez pick me up on route Elaine?
I hope it’s a big one with all the extra passengers!
Give DD and ‘bump’ a hug from me
mioliere
Have you finished the cosmetic surgery on the bunny’s ears yet?
Thanks for the Hippity hop link ... hope you don’t mind that I’ve added them to the Easter patterns etc on #3682
Re;’ DH thinks I'm mad! He says 'an ear's an ear, surely?' but he doesn't know how important these things are for a rabbit!’
MEN ... they just don’t get these important little things do they? As in
‘The ones we chose are a lovely washed terracotta shade - I heard him describing them to someone as yellow - hopeless!’ l-o-l
Just been having a look at your blog ... the pics of Weston brought back many good memories from my childhood and of taking my own children there
I remember seeing the fire on TV and I’m so glad they are rebuilding it so that other people can have happy memories and it’s great that they can keep the original facade
They mean so much don’t they, especially when life is difficult and things like Alzheimers are so destructive to the ones we love, it’s wonderful to think about the happy times!
chalky 75
Fab photos of little doggies on location!
The bunny egg cover is so cute, the cake looks nice enough to eat and the puppets certainly made me smile

Thanks for the link to the new spreadsheet. I’ve put it on #143
Thanks for the sweatshop picky Jean, now I can visualise you working in it! :j:j
‘... do I look like a lumberjack?’
Or in your case lumber Jean :rotfl:
But seriously Jean, please don’t overdo it, I for one need you!

I truly hope that you haven’t got M.E. hun
Have a look at the links at the end of my post and if you do want to ask anything about it,
just pm /email me
Another favourite of the GP’s to add to those already mentioned is
’well you are getting older you know!’
They started with that one when I was 42yrs and still quite happily mucking out stables etc l-o-l
Which resulted in me pushing myself even harder and getting really ill
I hope Daniel is feeling better
Kinsey
Thanks for the egg cosy patterns ... hope you don’t mind ... I thought I’d pop them onto #3682 with the other Easter patterns
re;’ Jean ... Make sure you don't overdo it and be careful with that chainsaw. How many knitting threads do you suppose you see that advice on ?’
Re;’ Aren't mum's wonderful.?’
We are so lucky that our mums were Diane, it’s so sad when people don’t have that gift in their lives

Congrats on the gift of wool etc from your friend
Re;’ I am really excited.....sad isn't it??’ ...
I s’pose some people might see it as a bit sad, but I love getting new wool etc, it really cheers me up
As Kathy said ‘Pippa - it's not sad at all! What is sad is that I'm not there to rummage through it with you!’
Looking forward to seeing pics of what you make
Sorry to hear about your friends husband I hope he is ok

Hi everyone. Louis the lazy French cat woke me up early so I thought I'd get the update done.
Maytaurus - what a lovely post, full of mentions for everyone, lovely pictures, and some great links. Your posts are always so cheerful. Hope you are feeling as well as can be and that the family are all OK. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos of Weston. My Mum gave me two books that she bought full of old photos of Weston in the fifties and sixties when I was growing up there; she used post-its to mark photos of places that were important to me - the window of the ward in the hospital where I was born, the place in Sand Bay where I got stuck in the mud and had to be rescued, the little river that I fell into when she was chasing me, the park where I got stuck in a conker tree when one of my plaits got caught, and so on, even the railings that I ripped my brand new school coat on! As you can see, I must have been a nightmare child! I'm a bit more grown up now!
Shaz - hope you are feeling better.
ISOM - glad migraine has gone and that you have tracked down the cause.
Shez - hope your Mum has a better day and that it won't be long before she has that op.
F1 - one doctor I had years ago always thought that prescribing an inhaler worked for everything. A friend went to see him with athletes' foot and came away with an inhaler which she didn't need! I'm sure he would have prescribed one for 'ladies' problems', too!
Well, no bunny work done last night because I was helping DH to decide which way to lay the tiles in the hall, either in straight lines or like a brick wall, if you see what I mean. We opted for the latter in the end, so he will actually start laying them today instead of just playing with them. I shall try and get the bunnies finished today because they need to go on a long trip to England in time for Easter.
Had a lovely Skype from DS2 and DIL last night. They wanted us to see Summer almost crawling! They swizzled the webcam round so that I could see her on the carpet desperately trying to propel herself forward! She's so almost got it that I think she'll succeed today! I love Skype so much because it means I can share these milestones! Summer is just seven months old which is quite early - DS2 crawled at eleven months and walked at fifteen months, and DS1 crawled really late at fifteen months, then walked at two years old! How late is that?! I was so worried that I took him to the doctor who said that he was just bone idle! Luckily, he didn't stay that way - in fact he plays cricket, tennis and football, and runs in half-marathons! Anyway, I hope to get another Skype when Summer has finally cracked it!
We had a beautiful day yesterday - not sure what today will be like but I've just let the cat out and we have a clear sky studded with so many stars it looks like a glitter ball. With no street lighting here, it looks truly magical! I almost woke DH up to look at it but didn't think he would appreciate the idea!
Thanks for all your lovely totals - update will be done when I've finished this post.
Hope all those MIA are well.

morning all - sounds like most of you had a good weekend. hugs for those of you that are under the weather - i know how you feel and am glad that i am feeling better.
may - i loved the show, but too much "crafty" stuff for me and not enough knitting/crochet stuff for my liking. i did restrain myself (although it was almost impossible as there was so much really good stuff) and i bought 4 sets of bamboo needles for £10, which i thought was a mega-bargain, some wool (pima cotton/merino mix) for £20 for 10 hanks and that was it! i wanted loads of other things, but decided that as money does not yet grow on trees, i will have to hold back. i will just wait for the next show and treat myself then.
other than that i have been busy with my french tasks, french lessons and general day to day stuff, it really is amazing how much time that all takes. in addition to that i, am giving a friend some crochet lessons, its quite a laugh as she is right handed and i am left - it can get quite confusing for her! there are also frequent tea and cake breaks, which dont help.
plan for today - do some more knitting/crochet, ironing, washing etc. (I have noticed that as we have so few clothes here - most of them being in france - i have to do a wash nearly every day!). i think after that i am going to look for a new pattern that i can knit/crochet. i am so bored with the squares - i would love to try some amigurumi, however, i have to concentrate, so it might be tricky as i can never sit still for more than 5 minutues, but who knows, i might be able to ...
have a lovely day everyone, and hugs all round to all of those who need them. may, i am thinking of you and sending you some very strong and positive thoughts for a wonderful day.
