Morning all,
Pippa sorry to hear about your friends husband, what a worry, do let us know how he gets on.
PSSO that's grateful sons for you isn't it? Off to fix a friends car too, priorities! It'll all work out in the end, but getting there sometimes seems like running a marathon doesn't it, hugs all round, and a special one for you.
Kathy you did make me laugh (cos we've all done it). The mental picture of you doing ballet steps in your slippers. A few years ago we tiled the kitchen floor...... happy days, not. We now need a new kitchen, and I would like a slightly different layout, we tiled up to the cabinets, big groans all round.
f1 widow, love the cards, it's something I've tried a few times but they always look as if a 3 year old had done them, so I really admire you.
ISOM I've only ever blocked one thing in my life, a shetland shawl I made for GD, and it had the pointed edges all round. It was worth it for that reason, but normally, as Chalky says, life's too short.
Shezmit, haven't heard from you lately, hope you're ok.
Love to maytaurus and Pam and everyone else, xxx0 -
Good Morning everyone- Freshly ground coffee,a pot of tea, newly baked biscuits, scented candles, a gorgeous masseur and palm leaves swaying will be on the balcony at 3.00 for us all. I think it sounds as if there is so much hastle going on that we are all definitely in need of a retreat. So don't be shy I will send postcode and a magic carpet and you can all be here. Lets give each other a virtual hug at 3.00 xx
Well Psso -- I am usually incredibly mild tempered but my son swears I broke the hairbrush on his bottom! I have BLOCKED that from my memory!
Kathy I packed and went home to Mums when DOH was decorating when we were first married -- I mean I was only trying to interfere/I mean Help!!
Shaz-- Daniel has all my sympathy. As it is a virus he needs lots of rest but it sounds as if that is all he wants to do anyway! Mt Dear doctor recommended a course of Vitamin B tablets ( the complex ) one after my shingles as it is very good for the nervous system. Might be worth a try!
F1 Cards are lovely Mrs M is going to be so thrilled!
Pippa I love heraing about your little ones.

My mom has had 6 cancellations dates for her op which has been doing our head in, Its for her gallbladder and stones, All due to lack of beds and they cancel them on the day of the operation should be,
So i am around just busy with other things at the moment but i am trying to get back on to knitting,

TOTAL: 4 SANDS BLANKET, 18 CROCHETED BLANKETS, 4 GOWNS, 2 SLEEPING BAG (PRIVATE REQUEST), 1 BIB, 8 BOOBS, 3 CARDIES, 9 VENTS, 3 KNITTED BLANKETS, 1 PAIR OF BOOTIES, 1 HAT,0 -
:hello: Morning all, bright and sunny here but a cold wind blowing brrrr.
Had a great night`s sleep last night, went to bed about 11 and slept through till 9.30 !!!!!!!!! must have been really tired. That often happens here tho`, have 3 -4 nights rubbish sleep then a really good one. Must be a pattern there I think.
Second load of washing in, so after another cup of coffee I`ll be rarin` to go with the furniture shifting. Have to go B&Q for new curtain rail & hooks for DD`s room as the old ones were so brittle quite a few of them broke, probably been up since we moved in here 19 years ago so think they`re due for replacement.
Shaz, poor DS. When grandkids had chickenpox recently the doc advised antihistamines and calamine cream -not lotion. Lotion dries out skin too much and has the telltale `white look`. The cream was excellent as it took away the itch, was invisible and moisturised the skin as well, relieving the problems.
Kathy, your house sounds as bad / mad as ours !!!!:rotfl:Glad to know we`re not alone.
Chalky, my Mum used to skelp my brother`s b*m with her hairbrush and the same happened to her`s.:rotfl:Must have been a very thin handle. Haha.
ISOM, hope the migraine is easing. I used to get them when I was younger, haven`t had any since I `changed`, one good thing about growing old
Been having a look at all the pretty pics. puppets are terrific, bunnies babettes will be much loved, and the links Maytaurus put on recently will take me a day to look through. One day soon I hope. Haven`t been on the LH website for ages either and not done anything at all for this challengeBeen too busy with other `stuff`.
DD is fine, thanks everyone who has been asking. Started her maternity leave a fortnight ago and is stir crazy already, missing her workmates and the littlies she works with at the nursery. Don`t think she will be taking extended mat leave somehow. She`s hoping to get her wee one a place at the nursery as well, even if it`s only two or three days a week.
Right, off to get cracking with the furniture shifting again, so that I`ll be finished before Chalky`s magic carpet picks me up for this afternoons fun. Tea, biscuits and a masseur wowwee, here I come.
See you later. have a good day all.

kinsey - dont worry about the cards looking like a 3 year old has done them - when I first started mine looked like Nursery School rejects :rotfl:- and even now some of mine are less than acceptable :rotfl:- have another go xxx

Hi Everyone
Don't forget me for the magic carpet pick-up!
Shaz, sorry to hear Daniel is feeling miserable - hope it goes soon.
Kathy, I did laugh at the flooring situation - the images! - I hope I was laughing with you.
Pippa and Mrs MP have been busy as usual - don't know how you manage to get so much done - or you either Chalky! Love the stuff you've been doing. Would it be too rude to hook away while your non-crafty  golfing  visitors are there :rotfl:
Good luck with the car boot Jaqui.
Kinsey, the tiling thing may just have been enough to convince me current layout is fine. Chaos avoidance? Me?
Elaine, what a lot you've got going on! You'll only have to scrub the pans again if you wrap them round DS's lugs :A
Good to see you back dpixie.
ISOM, any in progress pics of babette? Congrats to Weezl too - he's gorgeous
Shez, I noticed some crochet vent hats on your site by the lady that does the lovely colourful sleeping bags - could she be persuaded to write down the instructions?
Hugs to anyone lurking - May, Pam, Lorna especially. Hope you're all OK. Apologies if I missed anyone - I'm being pestered to go to the park0 -
ISOM - so sorry about Saturday - no excuse I'm afraid, had a hellish week and just couldn't summon up the energy to get dressed and out by 10! Did that mean you had to eat all the cake yourself  ? I wanted to chat to you about quilting too! Sympathise regarding migraine, you feel so drained for days afterwards.
Shaz - shingles is awful, my mum had it in August and is only now just about feeling a bit better, sympathise with Daniel.0 -
Hi everyone - we were invaded this afternoon by friends so my afternoon snooze, which I was looking forward to!) went out of the window. Still, we had a nice chat and far too much tea but it made a change and made DH stop working on the house for a couple of hours.
Shez - that's terrible for your Mum. I thought there was a maximum number of three times that an op could be cancelled. As it's gallstones, you'd think they'd get the op done because it's painful, isn't it? I hope it's seventh time lucky for her.
ISOM - hope your migraine has gone. I've never had one but I've seen other people suffer from them so I consider myself lucky.
Chalky - I missed the 3.00 which sounded lovely. I'll be along next Sunday because, of course, it will be a regular feature, won't it?!
Well, I did our main meal at lunchtime for a change, mainly because the children Skype early on Sunday evenings, and I'm always cooking and having to keep dashing out to the kitchen which is not what I want to be doing when I have the chance to look at them while talking to them! It means that I can just do something simple for tea.
Anyway, we've had glorious sunshine today and I'm starting to get used to it. I even went out without a coat this morning and that's the first time this year!
Hope you are all having a good Sunday.
