Pippa you could have a 'let's all root in the bags party', we'd bring cake!

Seakay what a lovely thoughtful post, and very true.

Kathy, sons eh? That could be yet another thread.

Well what lovely postings on here today and I agree with every word this thread is
" The sunny side of my street!" Seakay thanks for those lovely words
Lovely stories of lovely Mums -- isn't it wonderful that we concentrate on the lovely memories.
Thanks for kind words about puppets. They make me smile because they seem so old fashioned in the loveliest of ways.

Everyone seems so busy I think Spring must be in the air---It really does bring new hope of longer.lighter days. Easier to work in the natural light!!

Well I have been thinking about some of our missing friends and hope they pop in soon.
Pfungi.Linedanceranne, and Soblivion to name a few.

Lots of love to anyone feeling a bit poorly or sad.

Mrs M-- What lovely news of your son-- You must be so proud

Shaz - Glad things sound calm

Yes, Pippa, I'm on my way; just waiting for Chalky who will have to pass through France on her way, so we can travel together! I'll bring wine and cheese!

Shaz - glad things are easier for you now.

Kinsey - I think you're right. Our children and other little family members would be a thread all of its own, I think!

Well, I've just cleared away the dinner things and DH has said he will do another hour on the house (luckily, a non-dusty hour) so I think I will have an early shower and settle down
with my bunnies - I really hope to get them all finished by the end of the week.

I felt my heart warm tonight at finally seeing on TV the little boy that all the worry has been about in Pakistan and the UK. He's a real cutie and seems none the worse for his adventure. What a story he'll have to tell his own children! A truly happy ending.

    Have a great evening, everyone.

Evening all...lovely post seakay and v true! People think I'm mad with my "MSE friends" or "the girls" as youre all known! Through mse I've made online and real friends and thank god for you all! Special thanks today for the safe delivery of weezl's second boy, Kester, who is very different from Ferg but just as edible but in different way! He was lovely and wrinkly; mop of black hair and looks more like weezl than Ferg does! Need to get on with his blanket though now hes here!! Lots love to all! hugs those that need it...

  • Hello, I'm here!!!!

Chalky - thanks for your concern - I'm always here reading about what everyone is getting up to. I just don't post very often. It is true about this forum though - a place where we can all meet our "virtual friends", who all care about each other and are happy to share our talents and time for others. I'm so glad I joined. I don't have a lot of spare time, but I enjoy what knitting I am able to fit in.

    Take care all.

morning all, what a lovely morning here and i can see (what i call) my swans on the wetlands over the river, it always gives me a smile when i can see them.

i am going to treat myself to a trip to the stitch and craft show at olympia today, i have to get a few things out of the way first, but i thought that might be a nice treat for today.

isom, please congratulate the weezls from me too, are they still living off pennies a day. thanks to them, losing my job (and income) was not the blow that it might have been - i have learned so much about living on a very tight budget due to weezls thread and all the support/advice/and enthusiasm that she whipped up with that thread.

ho hum, i suppose i should start with some of the french phone calls soon, and then take a lovely walk to olympia - i am quite excited as i dont really know what to expect - i have not been to a show like this before - i hope they are selling some lovely irresistible wool somewhere ...

have a wonderful, peaceful and love filled day everyone.

Will have to suss how to sew it up and any instruction welcome as not learned that bit yet and know it can ruin it if wrong!! Lol re lurking - I always wonder if its a personality type thing - ie I am quite vocal (ok very) so cannot not post but wonder if lurkers are by nature quieter, more reflective people?
