Good morning everyone, hope you all had a lovely Mothering Sunday. The sun is out and the temperature is up by a few degrees, but it makes all the difference doesn't it. Shows how much work the garden needs though, but its only clearing the way for new flowers so well worth it. The allotment sounds good ISOM, would love to see it.
Jean your room looks great, and whatever you decide to do with the walls will be interesting I'm sure.
Chalky that cake looks great, did you sprinkle icing sugar through a stencil? Such a shame about your friend, it must be so hard to come to terms with somthing like that.
Welcome notjustlaura, hope to see more of you.
How are you maytaurus? Thankyou for all the links.
So pleased you had a good day out with the boys Shaz, it was a good positive step.
Second stray cat is on the outside of the windowsill miowing for food, so better go and do as I'm told,
    Love to everyone xxx

    Hi

Hope mums had a lovely day yesterday, and hugs for those who were missing their mums yesterday ((((hugs))))
Life has been pretty hectic, though I have got some premmie knitting done, and some of the baby blanket.
Was a bit of a naughty girl on Saturday, and bought some premmie knitting pattern books!!! (Made the excuse that OH would love to buy me a mother's day pressie :-) lol) My 17yr old appreciates them anyway, and has already attacked the bootie patterns lol.
Rottie has to go to the vets to have a lump removed from his leg. Going to be interesting lol. His appointment is for when the surgery is empty, due to his dislike of other dogs. After being growled at when he went to be inspected, the vet asked my son to make sure a male takes him along, so OH has had to take the day off , as Rottie's master has now returned to Cardiff. As he hasn't been allowed to eat, it's going to be loads of fun trying to get his muzzel on. The said thing can only usually be put on with the temptation of food. One person has to hold some food through the nozzle of the muzzel, while another does the muzzel up from behind. I told OH, he'll have to try to fool the dog that he has food in his hand lol. Which isn't going to be an easy thing to do, as he knows what the muzzel is, and that he only has it on when he goes to the vet, so......... What fun lol.
Anyway. have a blessed and prosperous and blessed day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) love you all.

Sorry I am late (AGAIN), You know that sometimes you get a Bee in your bonnet about something and you can't settle until you have "sorted" it? Well, in my dream time I managed to conjure up what I thought was a great idea, so I have spent this morning on the knitting machine, attempting to create said idea - without success! This will not deter me, so I shall be back at it this afternoon.
Shazrobo, so pleased you had a lovely day with the boys yesterday,
Chalky - I ate most of that cake you made (I wish)
Sgt- how weird is that - admiralty charts abound in this house, not sure about the Tea towels now I have had a proper look at them all - ie they would need a good boil wash and a press with the iron prior to going anywhere near a frame and that just seems like far too much hard slog for my liking!
F1 hope you had a good weekend - no racing cars at my house it was wall to wall rugby!
I flopped around for most of the time, which just suited my mood. Did manage to get the first early tatties into the ground tho' so thought of you ISOM at the allotment - don't work too hard, enjoy the pick-a-knicker!!!
Oh the secret project - well you will all have to wait - taking a leaf out of Chalky's book here- will let you all see it when I manage to do it!
Have a great week, sunshine all the way and I see you are all due some warmer temperatures - you let me know when its bathing suit weather, won't you? Then I can leave of my vest and wellies.

kathy -yes thanks, I had a great time with my friends Saturday night we talked and laughed the whole time we were out, its lovely to see them all, Had a real surprise as well, my one friend who I see every couple of months is getting married.I knew she was seeing someone and had been for a while, did'nt know it was serious though, we are all so pleased for her, and quite a few tissues came out around the table.

Had a wonderful day yesterday DS2,DIL and DGS took us out for a lovely meal and there was a huge bouquet waiting for me when we got there, DGS had scribbled on a card for me as well:rotfl: It was very special as it was DIL's first mothers day.
DGS was as good as gold in the restaurant and ate everything put in front of him, and had some of everyone's pudding, quite a mixture. ;)

Pippa - I wished my DIL2 happy FIRST Mothering Sunday yesterday, and I thought of your DIL, too. What a special special day it must have been for her - and for the whole family. I'm sure the lovely chicks in Kinsey's link would look great stuffed. I shall have a go when I've finished all my bunnies. Thanks to Kinsey, by the way, for the link!

Jean - your posts always cheer me up. Because I've spoken to you in 'real' life on the phone, I can 'hear' you saying what you write! Good luck with your new idea; I'm sure persistence will win the day!

Salome - good luck at the vets!

Well, I've been to the dentist. He's actually very nice so I'm glad my neighbour recommended him. Just a couple more appointments then I shall, hopefully, be happily 'crowned'!

Anyway, the sun is beaming here and it's actually very warm. I had to walk past some cafes from the car park to the dentist's surgery, and loads of people were sitting outside enjoying their coffee - it looked so very French, I could almost hear Edith Piaf singing!

Anyway, that's reminded me to go and put the kettle on.

Hope you are all enjoying the day.
