Shaz - that is so heartbreaking for Joshua but it's not your fault and, sadly, there's not much you can do about it apart from just be there for him. At least both boys can rely on you and know that you love them and provide security and stability for them. I wish we could all be there to help, even if it was just to provide a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen with. We're all here with you virtually, though.

Well, no crochet done at all last night because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. As soon as I sat down on the sofa, I dozed off into a deep sleep. Still, I must have needed it.

Today's priority is to shop for food then come back and face a big pile of ironing, which I will do while watching Saturday Kitchen Live, a programme I really like.

Chalky - it's so sad about the pups but, as you say, you just can't take them on because it won't be permanent. I've googled to see if there is a Blue Cross branch or similar in Spain but couldn't find anything. I do hope they can be found a loving home.

Well, this won't get anything done - I've finished my coffee so I'd better get down to the shops.

    Have a great Saturday, everyone.

Hi all, hope you are all well this weekend
Been very busy this last week or so and not had much chance to post, but I’ve been keeping up with all your news.
Sorry you’re not great Maytaurus, but thank you for all the lovely Easter patterns.
Shaz, sorry to hear about your troubles too, hope they ease off a little for you soon. It must be so hard for you.
Chalky, I could hardly bear to think about those poor little dogs, how can people be so cruel? I hope something gets sorted out for them happily.
Jean, love the workroom, it looks so busy all on it’s own!

Treated myself to “100 flowers to knit and crochet” yesterday, I just couldn’t resist it. Hoping to make something nice for later in the summer.

    Love and hugs to all

    Evening all

Sorry forgot to say a big WELCOME to sparrer nice to see you glad you decided to join us

Pol - I bought that book with birthday/christmas money and spent ages just looking through so many pretty flowers, I did a few and put them on some hand warmers for friends and they loved them.
chalky - I am so sorry to hear of your friends illness.
kathy - yes I will slow down....got to, my breathing is getting very erratic again, (havent been doing my breathing exercises) so will have to watch it and get back into routine :o
shaz - lots of (((HUGS))) for you all x

Got back from the usual Saturday round of the Mum's, a couple of hours ago and have spent a nice hour and a half on the sofa finishing off a scarf for mrs-m's Easter fund raising stall.

Going out tonight to meet up with some friends (10 of us) I worked with until I retired 4years ago. Some of us have known and worked with each other for nearly 20years.
We all said it would be a shame not to carry on with it as some of us retire, so we have met up every year for our Christmas meal....yes I know it's MARCH last year it was JUNE  when we all finally got together :rotfl:
We still enjoy it though whenever it is, we don't live quite so close now..... Birmingham, Oxford, Bromsgrove, Bridgewater, Stourport-on-Severn, Stourbridge so it takes us ages to co-ordinate dates when we are all available.

Better go do something with myself, can't let the side down ;)
Bought myself some lovely red shoes but if I wear them I just know they will start calling me Dorothy (from the wizard of OZ):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    TTFN enjoy your evenings all

Today I thought I would knock a few of these up--- bought as a download with a few " Andy where has it gone -- and I paid £2 for that and its lost in the ether"
    IMG_2010.jpg?t=1268513860

Well knock up a few I don't think so --- but aren't they gorgeous. However far too time consuming for all the loved ones at home but I am sure you will love it anyway
Night night and love to all

Lovely bunny, Chalky! I'm still crocheting my Easter bunnies for the grandchildren. I had started sewing up the first one but I thought I'd do them conveyor-belt fashion like you did your puppies, so I'm crocheting the second one now.

I didn't do much last night because we didn't sit down until gone ten o'clock and then I dozed off for a while! I still slept like a log, though!

Pippa - hope you had a good time last night.

Shaz - hope you are having a nice peaceful weekend.

Today, I will take it a bit easier and try and spend some time this afternoon doing some crochet. I didn't get the ironing done yesterday so that simply must be done this morning!

I hope you all have a great Mothering Sunday! I would much rather be back in the UK to be able to see everyone today, but both boys have emailed to say they will be Skyping today so that's the next best thing!

    Have a lovely day, everyone.

Thank you, Chalky, for the words and photos - I can imagine how you must be feeling today and I hope you have lovely memories of your own dear mother today, of all days.
