Feeling now come back to my face, so I can drink, but eating with this temporary denture thingie is proving somewhat difficult. I think I need a tube of Fixodent or something to sort it out as it feels as if it's slipping all the time. It's making me talk funny too.....
Fronts and hood sewn onto the Moonglow cardigan and as I did it ages ago, I'd forgotten how gorgeous the wool is. Looks lovely, and I hope it fits (should do, it's huge, but then again, so am I!) have checked the pattern and I need a whopping 306 sts all round the border (including the hood), so am leaving that for now and doing it tomorrow as I need a shower and early night tonight or else I will certainly not function for tomorrow at work. Thanks for all you well wishes for that too, greatly appreciated.
Anne - have a lovely time in Spain; got to be warmer than here!!
Shaz - so glad you had a good time in Blackpool and that things seem to be on the up; here's to the start of a new corner turned.
Love to everyone else again,

Looks like soup for you for a bit, PurpleTeddyBear! Good luck tomorrow and also with that massive stitch pick up!
Well done SunnyGirl, you should be feeling proud!0 -
Good luck tomorrow, Purple Teddy Bear. Also, I used to be a dental nurse and everyone finds plates difficult at first, but perservere and it will soon settle down. Fixodent will give you a bit of confidence, though, so it's a good idea to use it until you get used to it.
I don't envy you with all those stitches!

Sadly the news from the vet for my lovely boy Cosmo is the worst; he has kidney & liver failure
I couldn’t bear to let him go this afternoon, I had to bring him home for the night so that we can all say good bye to him properly, so the vet has given him some painkilling injections ...
And in the morning I have to face taking him to the vets for his last journey with me ...

Awww May lots of hugs and love.
Our Rottie had kidney failure two years ago. He ate something while out on a walk (we have a kebab van come on Fridays, and I think they must have thrown some off meat out of their van and our dog found it ??) He, thankfully survived, but the vet was very doubtful he would, but he now has a very weak tummy, and he has to be careful what he eats and he still sicks up if he has too much :-(
It's not fun taking the Rottie to the vet. He hates them. We had him castrated as a young dog, and he kept taking the stitches out despite having a collar fitted to stop him doing it. Three times he had to be re-stitched and ended up with a collar as big as a standard lampshade to wear lol. Anyway, this continual visit to the vets made him hate them, especially if they had a syringe in their hand !!!!
When Rottie was ill with the kidney failure, hubby and son (whose dog he is) had to go in to the vets to help, because even though he was very sick, he still managed to frighten them enough to not want to be alone with him !!!! He's a big soppy thing as well, except with vets ????????
