    Hello everyone

I have had the most wonderful day :D:T:j
DS2,DIL and DGS came for lunch and have just gone O we had a lovely day ....cant move now though OH said it serves me right for crawling around on the floor with DGS playing with his toys, and a soft ball which for some reason he insists on rolling under the coffee table, and nana has to get down on the floor to catch it ;)(I am a pushover, cant deny it)

May - aw thanks what a lovely thought, its really nice of you :A Love the elderly squares nice colour and the pattern looks good, nice and close together.
Kathy - hope you enjoyed your friends birthday lunch...Is that cupboard under the stairs for your stash by any chance???;)
Jean - I would think it counts after all as May said it is for charity

Off to put my feet up and get the hook...or maybe needles... out
Enjoy the rest of your evening all

So pleased you had a lovely day
I really just popped back cos I forgot to say that at the moment I’ve got K C Woo
    allpics332.jpg in season
Cosmo worrying me cos he’s 14 yrs and not his usual self
    cosmo21stfeb2010.jpg

and a dog I brought back from our Tesco Express last night because he was lost / abandoned?
    dogfeb2010tesco2.jpg

(D’ya like my M.E. slippers, ideal in the wet & snow)

He’s got a collar on but there’s no ID
The local council & police asked me if I would keep him overnight as they said the dog warden isn’t available at week-ends, that they couldn’t get in touch with anyone to take him until the morning ...
and the alternative was for Tesco staff to lock up go home & just leave him there !!!!!!!!

I obviously couldn’t let that happen, although I know , I know it wasn’t the ideal for me to bring him home with everything as it is, but I’m so glad I did, especially as we had a couple of inches of snow last night
He’s a lovely natured little thing; I’ve got him in one of the outbuildings tho because of my own 3 dogs and not being able to know if he’s got any health probs etc & my little Pom being in season etc
OH took him for a good yomp of a walk earlier & is going to take him again just now
He walked him around the local houses as well and when they got to one he turned straight into their drive, so OH knocked at the door but no one answered

Oh and guess what ? ... Surprise !
It’s 5.30 pm now and NOBODY has bothered to contact me !!

OH has just take him for another walk & is also going to take him back to the house he knocked at earlier, but I told him that if he is from there & they don’t want him ... to bring him back here
and I'll put a poster up in Tesco
Keep your fingers crossed for a happy ending!!!!!!

  • NEARLY HAD A FIT! I have just checked out the cost to post things to Soweto and would need a mortgage to post from here so I shall now say my squares are CHALKY SQUARES and even if I sew them all up myself and donate them either into the UK or here if I find some worthy cause, honestly I could fly to SA for the cost of the posting! GULP Obviously I will now go and amend my original post and my signature.
MAYTAURUS ....did OH walk the wee things legs down to the stumps? Nice switched up egg with a wee bit of honey for cosmo, might just perk up then. ADORE THE SLIPPERS GIRL where can I get some of them and don't you dare say Cammell Laird shipyard. Are you still all clean and glowing after that bath?
My sewing pupil is coming on great guns, managed a pair of shorts today - and a first try with a zip,(into a couple of bits of duvet cover for practice) next week I think a skirt and something with sleeves in ...she insinst she won't wear any of it but her Ma informed me that the shorts are going with the wee v neck top we did last week and she is using it all as PJ's.
Off for a comfy seat then.

Hi and lots of love to one and all. Sounds likes lots of lovley family things going on which is lovey!
Pippa You sound a perfect Nanna1

May - my dad was a vet and we were always "homeing" waifs and strays of every animal variety-- I have such happy memories of living a kind of "My Family and Other Animal " Childhood
It drove my Mum mad though!!!

Well we were supposed to be doing housework today but the sun came out and it was lovely and warm:mad::mad::mad: So we went down to the beach and had a lovely lunch. The first time we had tried this restaurant
    Bread and aoli (garlic mayonnaise)
1/2 chicken cooked in olive oil and herbs
    A big salad
    A big portion of chips
    A bottle of house wine

12 EUROS for both of us in total-- Think we will return very soon and also a lovely atmosphere.

Well only puppies in the frame so its onwards and upwards
So far we have Paco, Pablo, Pierre, Phillippe. Pamela and Pippa
Photos when I have finished !!!:D
Try and do a good deed every day.

May That dog is such a cutie & it's so brilliant that you took him in. My friend once had a dog for 2 days (midweek!) before the dog wardens came for it. I think she rang up & got really strict with them in the end :(

Our labrador, Susie, is in season at the moment and the beagle, Max, is in his element trying to do the deed :rotfl: The only trouble is that he's not tall enough and although he was a stud dog prior to coming to us, he no longer has the necessary equipment for the job :p:D It's very funny to watch though, bless him. It'll be the last time as we've got Susie booked into the vets in early April.

Your dogs are so cute too. Hope that Cosmo is back to his usual self soon too. My DD has those slippers - they're amazing :T You have such good taste xx
