First of all, A belated Happy Birthday Elaine
Thank you all for your kind wishes for Alan. He came out of hospital yesterday. He has an irregular heart beat, but thankfully hadn't had another heart attack. They gave him new pills, but are leaving the irregular beat until he sees his own consultant in April.
Now for the next lot of bad news - my niece Gillian has been rushed into hospital. 'Women's problems' are all the details I have so far. So January is hanging on till the very end
Going to Rosie's funeral tomorrow. It turns out she'd had a massive stroke. She also did charity knitting for many years for orphans in Africa. The people she used to send the stuff to sent Valerie a truly lovely letter to say how much her mother's contributions had helped. They said she had saved many children just by sending the little cardigans and hats, and they sent photos of some of them. Then the children themselves had written a lovely letter and sent photos, and tomorrow they are going to have a song and dance in Rosie's honour. So it just goes to show how much of a difference all of our contributions make to the lives of people we will never know.
Can someone please point me to the address to send the 6" and 12" squares for Do? I've finally gotten around to picking up wool again and have nearly finished these.
Also got a big parcel to send to Shelly which didn't get sent before, a few of them I never added to last year's totals so I will now start off my 2010 list in another post.
Lovely blanket Chalky! I shall try to do you some 8" squares but mind you I only have baby coloured wool.
Hope everyone has had a good day and kept warm away from the snow and ice.

Just popping in again after another hectic day.
Forgot to say yesterday to Salome, what a lovely thing you are doing. For some, confidence is a fragile thing and helping to build it in you friend is truly lovely :A.
Lovely lappy Chalky! I can see what you mean with the borders, you really finish the blankets off beautifully. Keep thinking you're going to get buried under a pile of squares in April!
Looking forward to seeing your Summer outfit pics Kathy.
Won't update again this week as not entirely sure what I've doneand I have missed the deadline for LH but I don't think Lou will give me lines! Will sort out through the week what I have done and try next week to update.
It's been quiet on here today - hope everyone is busy having a good time.
Saw in passing somewhere on DT that rolleyes and confused have been removed as they are offensive :insert banned confused smilie here::(0 -
