Kiraroo-- Do you mean you can take a crochet hook on an aeroplane --- that would make me life wonderful as I could hook away. Thought it might be thought to be a dangerous implement!!

Hi Ladies an occasional visitor to your thread has a question.

Has anyone come across a pattrn for a wavy/curly scarf with an aran pattern middle? maybe with a beret and mitten set?

Chalky - we set off back next weekend, having a weekend in London with DS and going to a show, on our way down to Dover and going down the west side of France, past M's and then down via Zaragosa, Valencia to our house. Let's hope the snow is all gone by then. BTW I have taken x-stitch on a plain I bought kids blunt scissors which do cut the thread, and just took one needle, they don't like more than one. Cannot see how they could worry about a crocheting hook especially if you are open about it.

If anyone has come across such a pattern please let me know.

Wow lots of snow! I did venture out today t wool shop to get attern but then came home - didnt dare go to bank as looked lethal-I find ice scary and even main pavements were thick with it ...feel for older people unable to get out...

    Hi.
ISOM I don't like ice either. I walk very very slowly on it lol. It looks like an ice rink outside my bedroom window !!
Managed to get to Bath today for a meet up with my brother and his wife. Me my OH and them had a meal together which was nice. The only traffic problem we had was getting into Bath, which is always horrendous, and made us 15mins late. Took 20mins to get off of the Batheaston bypass, which is only a short stretch of road, and onto the London Road that leads you into Bath. Then getting along that, into Bath took another 10mins, again, not a particualarly large road. A lot better coming home lol.
Pleased with my knitting efforts today :-) Got most of the dolls jumper I'm making. Finished one sleeve and well on the way with the other :-) Got till Friday to get some done ready for my daughter to take to my grandaughters over in the USA :-)
When I got home, my 17yr old had knitted a cabled baby hat, very impressive. Going to get her into some charity knitting I think :-)
Have a good nights sleep everyone. Wonder if I shall wake up to more white stuff tomorrow, haven't had anymore yet, we are forecast some for tomorrow though, which makes walking to church an interesting prospect lol.
Hugs to anyone in need of one.

Thank you so much for putting me out of my misery. What a relief, I'll be able to sleep tonight now I know!

What a brilliant little gadget. I have some rather nice fuzzy/bobbly yarn which will make wonderful loopy scarves, so tomorrow I will be searching for something suitable to make my loopa out of.
Oh dear, here we go again.

hi jennyjelly, a loopa is a plastic thingie, with which you wind wool around and it produces a lovely loopy scarf with no knitting needles needed.
