Hi everyone
Well that is it I have done THE SHOP and now its up with the drawbridge!!
I used to panic about the veg etc and last minute shop but now I refrigerate it all. Freeze ahead the ones I can and if necessary just blanch the sprouts on Christmas Eve Day but last year they were fine.
So tomorrow we are going off on the train to Exeter. Sitting looking at the sea at Teignmouth and Dawlish is glorious. Then lunch and a wander around Cathedral Yard and then friends cooking us a meal --- Bliss!!They are coming to us on Christmas Day so this is my treat!!
So I am also itching to start proper charity knitting
Re Colours I really dont think it matters as they all seem to beautifully - so just go gor it!!
4Ply Wool --- I just knit it in double strands and it comes up like Double Knitting. Quite pretty if you have 2 different coloured balls on the go at the same time
DOH has just rung ( He is out delivering cards around the village) and asked me to phone the RAC as he is frozen stiff and needs some anti-freeze poured down him So I had better get the kettle on !!!
Red Cabbage Recipe is the one from Delia Smiths Christmas Book I am sure it would come up if you Google it.
Keep warm everybody and lots lof love xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

What a lovely busy day on here! I think I've finished too except for some bits of food shopping which can be done in the dead of night if needed - crowds, urgh.
Have had (what passes for) a brainwave and have decided to do some RWB juggling balls as I couldn't make up my mind what to do for the project. Found some blue wool in Poundstretcher £2.29 for 200g I think it was.
Going to have a cup of tea and assess whether I have a hope of finishing something that has been on the needles for an age.
Hope everyone is keeping warm and happy.0 -
