Chalky they're all lovely. You've given me some more ideas, but mine won't look as professional as yours.

    Afternoon all

F1widow, I winged it with the cosies. I cast on about 38 with chunky wool on 5-5.5mm needles. I think I did about 14 rows and cast off. I mostly did K2P2 rib or similar stretchy pattern. I sewed the top and bottom two rows together, or put a button and loop on the top or ties. They fit a standard mug. Hope your visit to the dentist went ok today.
Ladykath, I still do that on new patterns to track my rows even after 35 years knitting.
Hi May I love the little bottle shirt, got to make one for OH.
Salome, you need another pair of hands to help out with all the projects you have on the go.:rotfl:
Heldun, I used a soft aran and 6.5mm hook for the ruffle scarf. It is really addictive and like magic when it starts to curl by itself!
Pam, hope you had a lovely lunch. I might have to rescue some of that wool myself.;)
Chalky. those needle cases are really lovely, more inspiration for me to get my sewing needles out again. I could do with something similar for myself.

My project queue in my favourites is so long now, it’s run off the computer and is halfway down the stairs! Still, managed to finish a mohair wrap I started months ago. Mohair’s my favourite yarn to knit, but I’ve been distracted by so many other items recently it’s had to take a backseat. Plenty of time for it over Christmas.

Hugs to everyone not feeling great today
    Love

Hi all. A very quick note today as have been for coffee and natter with a friend earlier and am off to cook a meal for partner soonish.
Mioliere, the Tudora neckwarmer pattern was free on the Knitty site. It is very quick and interesting to knit and looks as good to wear as in the pics. I just used a fairly thick DK yarn and UK size 8 needles for mine and it worked out fine.
I have noticed the topic Cochet Anyone on here and wonder if anyone else has. Sounds like lots of people needing advice on there.
Must dash now. Hugs to you all. K x

Just a quick one I am never going to go on another forum topic other than here ........ Oooooo I posted a problem I had had with CAB refusing to help with some advice and I have been well shot down in flames - saying Im asking for something for nothing and I bet you dont donate etc - did I not know that charities were stretched to the limit etc

Its quite upset me - if you want to have a look its on the forum house buying or renting (I think)

IM SO GLAD YOU LADIES ARE NOT LIKE THAT - HUGS TO YOU ALL xx

    Hi everyone :hello:

Chalky - the needle cases are lovely, must have a look on Attic for the Robins, Love the blog kept me quiet for ages last night reading yours and Kathy's
Thanks Kathy no idea how I did it  but thats my one win for the month:rolleyes: I havent been doing any charity knitting for a while, so will leave anything I do from now on until after the New Year. I still have the girls chunky cardis to do yet, I keep getting side-tracked ;)
May - Lovely to see you posting again you have been missed, hope things are improving for you and your family now:A
k2tog - yep they will soon sort me out, and they run rings round their Grandad :rotfl:
Kinsey - thought thats what it might be, have you found it yet?
f1widow - don't think she has any preference she eats the lot :rotfl:Sorry you have had a nasty experience on another thread someone else said some time ago they had been shocked at the nasty things some people had said to her....never mind we are here for you so have one of these (((HUGS))) x

Forgot to say yesterday, we had a great time on the Severn Valley Railway Santa Express on Sunday, DGS loved it he had a great time, could'nt believe it when he saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck,Rupert Bear, Tigger but he loved the Ginger bread Man best I think, he just stood and stared and kept patting him,
Guess what I SAT ON SANTAS KNEE and had my photo took, think I was about 5 the last time that happened :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We got off the train in Bewdley and had a walk along the river, then Lunch at the George Hotel, well it used to be the George but its a Wetherspoons now.
Tell you what I have never know a LO eat so much, the only thing he pulled a face at was a sprout his Mum gave him(dont blame him they are an aquired taste)
Then we called in at an old fashioned sweet shop, for some nibbles for on the way back yummmm marzipan covered in chocolate for me( I lurrrve marzipan)

We passed the Safari Park and LO was so excited there were animals everywhere and the Elephants (his favourites) were holding tails and walking along.

Can you tell I had as much fun as DGS :j:j:j

Well better go get dinner started we are off to friends tonight for a couple of Vino's:beer:....think I'll cut out the middle man and just sit on the floor:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    have good evenings all

Oh F1 widow. I was called a dimwit on 1 thread and used to get ignored on another but I don't care anymore because I love it here in our friendly place.

So dont waste your energy there-- they sound really judgemental--- sorry I cant answer your question though.

Hugs to anyone else feeling a bit sad too and thanks for kind comments on needle cases. x
