    Hi everyone

I haven't posted for ages, but I've been lurking and reading every day keeping up with you all. What a lovely bunch of people you are, so supportive and helpful through every situation that arises.

Shezmit - I've just posted a parcel to you with some bits and pieces for your stall, they may not arrive in time for the first date but hopefully will be OK for the second one. I'm so mad that the first parcel went astray as there were loads of the little stockings in there with embellishments which would have been good for your stall, but the whole thing just seemed to disappear into the ether!!!!

Kathy - I haven't updated my signature for ages but will get around to it soon.

Sorry I just don't get time to post what with work and stuff, but I do enjoy keeping up with what everyone's up to.

By the way, I tried knitting a Pudsey, had wanted to do a few for Shelley's stall. The knitting turned out OK but I had a real problem with his face and he ended up looking like Pudsey's Evil Brother, Pudzilla!! I don't so much mind the sewing up but it's the faces I can't seem to get right.

Hope everyone manages to stay warm today and keeps all the bugs and sniffles at bay.

    Helen

  • Hi all, I have been a lurker on here for quite a while now and just wanted to say how I enjoy it. Soooo helpful and informative. A couple of things I thought may be helpful...I noticed today that Lidl online have knitting wool and needles on offer from Nov 30th. The other thing is to reassure F1widow to try again with crochet and circular needles. I had never used circs and done VERY little crochet but have mastered both thanks to online tutorials on YouTube and the explanation about different US and UK terms for doubles and trebles (kindly explained somewhere on here). Good luck and best wishes to you all. K

    I'm pleased you're pleased Shelley.

Heldun with faces usually less is best, keep it simple, french knot for eyes and V shape for mouth, or nose and no mouth depending on toy.

Hello Ladykath, nice to meet you. Thanks for info on lidl, off to have a look!

Hope you're ok maytaurus, and all who haven't been seen for a while.

    Love to everyone xxxx

Hi all, it’s very cold here today, we’ve had a hard frost in the night.

Mioliere. thanks for the ruffle scarf pattern, I think you’ve started a scarf revolution! I’ve already been asked by three people for one and I’ve only just finished the first. I absolutely love it, it was so much easier than I thought it would be and it’s like magic the way it curls itself up.

Pam, thanks for the wristwarmer pattern, going to have a bash at these tomorrow.
Orkney star, like the remote holder, very nice for a pressie.
Hi to ladykath and heldun :hello:
Well, got some wool from Fleetwood today, didn’t have the colour I wanted in chunky so had to get dk and I’ll use it double. Going to make a start on it tonight. Another few balls just jumped out at me while I was there so I’ve adopted them too.:rotfl:

Hope you're all keeping warm and ((Hugs)) to all who feel down or poorly.
