Shaz glad you feel a little better. Um .....how come they've only just found out you have one leg shorter than the other, shouldn't that have been found when you were a child? Sorry just realised that question is a little impertinent, please don't answer it. hope they can do something to help you.

    Love xxxx
they should have found out when i was a child, but they failed to notice . when i was a teen the hospital commented on my knees and feet not been correctly aligned, but as i was in no pain then, they left it.

Had a busy day picking up DMIL from the airport. About round trip, If you have popped into my blog you will have seen there is NO shopping here so we popped into IKEA at Murcia on the way. Just picked up some lovely wrapping paper--- I dont know who popped the other things in my bag!!!

Anyway lots of rippling going on on the way there and back. If you are seriously interested in diminishing your stash crochet the ripple scarves . ---- Love them but keep on running out of wool on the last line!!!

I have crocheted a bone for Busters Christmas stocking ( Well he should suffer from the overload of home made goodies as well !!! ) Doh says it looks more like a hammerhead shark than a bone but I literally made it up as I hooked !!! Anyway Buster will love it and DD1 will love the fact that I have added it to his stocking.

Lots of love to all x Linda

Think I might make OH one of those Orkney Star, he's always losing remotes, how does it stay on the arm of the chair?

k2tog it's probably in the next cupboard!

ISOM 2 hotties and blanket on sofa works fairly well.

Buster will be well chuffed, and not overbothered about the shape!

Shaz I'm so sorry, you must have been in pain for a while. Speechless about hospitals. I do hope you have some good luck soon.

Been a horrid day today so going to bed early, which means I'll be up in the middle of the night.

    night night everyone xxxx

Hi Shelley, yep! I made a pair for my Mum this morning, aren't they easy, I used 32 stitches as she has slim hands & they fit beautifully.

I'm hoping to knit a few pairs before Mums Fete on Saturday 5th, not sure what to ask price wise, do you think a Fiver is too much?

Also, I've done some baby cardis & jumpers 3 month & 9 month anyone give me a clue what to charge, the local wool shop charges between £7 & £10 for handmades - anyone - do you think I'd get this at a Fete?

    Night all

Hi all. Woke up late this morning so I'm in catch-up mode.

Thanks, Pam, for re-posting that link for the fingerless gloves; I shall make some for my Mum, too. She has slim hands so I will take your advice and cast on 32sts. I think £5 a pair is a good price - they would cost a lot more for factory-made ones in the shops, and people will happily pay £5 for a present for someone. My local wool shop in the UK charges quite a lot for hand-knitted baby cardies and so on, so I think £7-£10 price range is good. Good luck with the fete.

Shelley - good luck with your Christmas fairs, too.

I hope to get the update posted today, as well as photos of three ruffley-type scarves I've made, with instructions. I'm pleased with how they've all turned out, and will be making shorter versions for some of my nieces. I so wish men would be able to wear them, though, so we could make them for everyone!

Anyway, I see from the forecast that you have frost this morning; I hope it's better for you than all that rain. They say the UK will be bright and sunny later on today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's cold here but not frosty, and the sun is blazing away already - really welcome after all the gloom of the past couple of weeks.

Kinsey - hope you have a better day today.

I haven't caught up with the rest of yesterday's thread, so I hope everyone is well.

Maytaurus - still thinking of you and hoping each day is better for you than the last.

The picture does not show it very well but it is basically a long piece and then two pockets are attached. It hangs over the chair, with one pocket on each side iyswim. My pic is confusing because you can only see one side of it!
Well guess what I started last night.......a ripple scarf!!! I am using blue mix chenille, which was leftover from a jumper I made for DS when he was 1! Memories come flooding back while rippling! It is very easy to do though, crochet is simpler than I made it to be me thinks (for those who cannot crochet I taught myself with a little help from the net and it was much less painful than I thought!).
Those gloves do look lovely, Kathy you are right about the prices thing, our local wool shop also sells HM things for a reasonable price. DH says I should make a pair for his Auntie (she is 82) so that might be another thing to add to the list!
    Ok, hope all are well.
