    Afternoon everyone!
Well this morning started out lovely and bright but its clouding over a bit now. My snuffles & sneezes are much improved, thankfully, so I'm off to see Mum this pm - I have the antibacterial gel stuff & if I don't kiss her it should be OK.

f1widow - this is the link I posted last week for fingerless gloves which are very quick and easy

I made a pair this morning to take in for Mum as her hands & wrists are always cold.

Shazrobo - glad you're feeling a bit brighter.

PurpleTeddyBear - good to hear from you.

ISOM - hope the toothache gets sorted.

    Maytaurus - hope you're improving.

    HUGS for those who need them;
    'bye for now

Hi everyone - I've been busy DIYing this morning and have just had some lunch and sat down for half an hour.

F1 - I've just found this scarf pattern which looks just like the ruffle scarf but is knitted! http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/scarves/bebop-party-corkscrew.html They've used a novelty yarn for it but you can still see the ruffle effect (they've called it a corkscrew, which was how I found the pattern - I just googled corkscrew rather than ruffle) As with the crochet version, you end up with more and more stitches with each row, but as there are only a few rows, it doesn't take that long.

I love the knitted wrist warmer pattern - I will have a go at that once I've finished current projects.

Anyway, hope you are all having a great day. Will call in later.

Not been about for a couple of days, in fact I cant remember when my last post was:confused:
Feel a bit down in the dumps lately. I'm not a lover of this time of year TBH, I think it all goes way over the top, but it's not just that, O I dont know what it is,I'm not usually such a grouch.... sorry :o

VERY cold here today, OH has just printed the wrist warmer pattern off for me so I will do Mum and MIL a pair each as a little extra pressie :D

I have finished the wheelchair wrap it just needs a quick press then I can wrap it up.
Did a prem cardi on our travels on Saturday, I find I get the fidgets if I just sit at Mum's and MIL's talking and drinking T.
Did a few inches more on the ripple blanket and bought some more hot pink wool for a ruffle scarf for ME this time :T
The Pampas I ordered for DGD'S cardi's arrived last week, so I want to make a start on them ASAP

Kathy - I have'nt done much this week so will update next week
May - hope you are improving
Shelley - has the parcel got to you yet? I posted it last week, and it was stuffed full as I had'nt got any more bubble bags.

I am cooking for Lunch today, Braised beef pots and loads of veg.
We are off to see DGS later.

Must make time to read back, looks like loads of pages to go through

Just a quick one - should be doing other things....
Pippa, Shaz, F1W hope you get your mojo back soon.
  • cor you lot been busy!! Tooth sorted - he said prev dentist did it on purpose due to me grinding and loosing tooth...nearly had a fit and told him that there was no way it was staying like that! I've got to wear my clip on teeth as I'm all skewed and my night guard to stop me grinding or I'll have no teeth left apparently....anyway - no more money changed hand so one good thing!
Sorry people feeling low and missey...hugs for you. I've been home a while and bundled but cant seem to get warm...remedy is blanket on and quick snooze or read in bed - bliss!! back in a bit!

    Remote holder made for Uncle.
It was a Lion Brand pattern (tried to post link incase anyone fancied making one for a sale or present but cannot find it!).
Might do some more of necktie next, and maybe some more vent hats too.
