Jean, on the names beginning with S, if you want a good Orkney name you could have Sigurd!

  • hugs shaz - feeling a bit the same today...just watched "My sisters keeper" and had a good bawl which has done the world of good! Going to spend this eve doing the knitting roll. Managed to get some lovely cups from charity shops in which o put the knitted/felted hearts and all for under £2 so chuffed with that at least! Jaw is hurting as out of sync due to tooth so that doesent help...anyway raining outside and lovely and snuggled here with madam who is snoozing!
Hugs all...esp those with "firsts" coming up at Christmas - prayers for you...
As for the meaning of Christmas it should be about celebrating a very special birthday!

Well I'm nice and wet and cold. Did my coffee stall stint this morning 11.30am-2.00pm. Came home to warm up and had some homemade soup :-) (made it before I went out this morning. Glad I did!!) Sewed my baby jacket up, then went back to the town to watch the lantern parade. My youngest was the back leg of a lit up Elmer the elephant lol. It rained, and I waited for ages to see it lol, so I'm soaked. Saw a lot of old friend I hadn't seen for a while, gave them big hugs and they all said "arg you're wet" and immediately put me at arms length (they were all nice and dry inside a church I used to go to lol) Missed the light switch on, because a friend I had with me and I were so wet we wanted get into some dry and she wanted a hot drink. So we nipped into my old church for one, and when we came out they were on lol.
So, I'm thinking of having a go at making some coffee cup warmers, although I ought to start my neighbours other pair of slipper socks, but the Snowflake wool is in my bedroom, and I'm feeling too lazty to go and get some lol, unless I do them the same colour as last time ( I have a ball of that down here in my knitting bag)

Hugs and hugs to all who need them.

    xx
    A work in progress :D
