Thought I'd put these ruffle scarves on as well, I am really pleased with the pink one, like the limey green as well, but ran out of wool on the last row so finished off with white but I am not so sure about it now
what do you all think??? maybe a darker colour would look better

Hello to everybody
Hope the weather is beginning to improve for you all -- it looked so bad on the TV.
Wonderful pictures of snowmen and wrap and lots of busy people here. I agree Kathy -- hard to imagine Christmas is so close' So uncomercialised here that it all seems a disitant dream or memory but I am still keeping my eye on our return on the 13th of Dec and knowing I shall have to notch up about 20 gears!!!!
Finished another pair of wrist warmers yesterday because we had to take some friends to the hospital about an hour away so managed to get them done. I am doing them with less stripes now which makes them even quicker.
Anne Have a brilliant time this evening . What a lovely DS !!

Pippa, those ruffle scarves are lovely- the lime and white goes really well and would brighten up a dull winter outfit no bother!
Jean, those little snow characters are brill........is it easy to work a knitting machine for such small things ? When I read your name, Roamin' in the gloamin' it reminds me of my dad as he used to saw that when he was talking about walking (on the banks of the Clyde river near Lanarkshire I think!).
Ann, happy birthday!
I am still not feeling great, but smiling though!
Kathy, I had my second denture app yesterday, another impression and also wax impression and colour chosing!
Only other news is DS had his H1N1 vaccine today (they are now doing 6 month to 6 year olds where we live)- he tried not to cry but had a little whimper and hug into mummy. He got to choose some stickers for Christmas and got a pack of jelly tots for being so brave- he is only 2 and a half!
Ok, hope everyone else is doing ok and xxx for now.

Ann - you have definitely done a great job with your DS!
Pippa - it's lovely to see the wrap in the 'flesh' so to speak because I want to make one for my Mum, so thanks for the photo. The scarves are gorgeous; I think the green looks lovely with the white edging, and I love the hot pink one, too. I'll post photos of the three scarves I've finished over the last week or so - once I've sewn in the ends! Thanks for your kind comments about my blog!
Chalky - you lucky thing you, going back for Christmas. I would love to do that but will just have to wait until the New Year because we'll have nowhere to stay until then. I don't want to plonk us on to the children because they will be busy with their own preparations for Christmas. I'll feel sad on the day but I know we'll have another Christmas with them in January, plus it will be DGS and DGD1's birthdays then, too, so extra celebrations!
Well, off to do some more online work - being unwell has really cost me time and I'm trying to play catch-up with that as well as crocheting furiously for Christmas!
Hope you are all having great days.

Orkney - it won't be long now until the denture is where it should be - in your mouth, enhancing your smile! Hopefully the next appointment will be for the 'try-in', then the following one it will be yours for good!
Hope you feel better soon!
