Lucie - so sorry to hear your sad news. Such a waste of a young life, too. My much-loved SIL died in her early forties (a very rare but agressive cancer) and we have never got over the fact that she should have had so much longer.

Seakay - a lot of people underestimate the importance of dentistry. One of our patients once said that he thought a dentist was 'the poor man's version of a doctor' which made me very angry. When you consider that not being able to eat properly can lead to bad nutrition and digestion problems, plus badly-aligned teeth can cause all sorts of things like headaches and jaw problems, it makes you realise how important it is. It's one of the things I never ever compromise on. Good luck with your implant - they are fantastic these days and I'm sure you'll find it's well worth the money.

Well, off to start the dinner!

    Good morning everyone.

Dawn - it's great to have you back. Hope you are well.

Maytaurus - if you're reading this, I hope everything is going well for you.

I keep having to remind myself just how close Christmas is getting now. I've finished another ruffle scarf (well, apart from sewing in the ends) and I've just started on a Hello Kitty back pack. I need to make three of those, hopefully, plus another few scarves, a couple of flower brooches, and some cushion covers. I also have DGS's lapghan to finish - I'm glad that crochet is so much quicker than knitting, and that some of the presents I'm making don't need to be ready until half way through January, when we next visit the UK! I seem to be crocheting all my presents this year. My wool stash is still really huge but I don't like seeing dents in it, so I shall be doing another big stock-up in the New Year - any excuse to visit the wool shop!

Well, I'm off for another cuppa. What would we do without tea?
