    Hi everyone.

Maytaurus - I hope your getting better and better. Take it easy.

Jean - hope you are OK?

Ann - good to hear from you. I'm so glad you're not flooded out; the situation looks really grim in your part of the world, doesn't it? I was watching the news and they were talking about all the bridges in the area and that, because they all need testing, it means that a lot of roads are inaccessible. It must be making life really difficult for everyone. I really feel for everyone who is at risk and hope that the powers that be can make sure that it never happens again. I can't imagine what it must be like to find your home and possessions under water.

ISOM - well done on finding a lodger you can feel at home with. As for Isoke, hopefully the biting will ease off as she gets older. My DS2 has a lovely cat (called Colin!) who used to bite a lot but, now that he's older (he's about eighteen months now), he's suddenly become a lot more affectionate and can't be bothered to bite! Louis is pretty good and very very affectionate but he will bite when he's had enough of DH wrestling with him! He also sleeps for hours at a time! We've had cats before but never one who has turned sleeping into a career like this! He really gives into it, too, and completely zonks out in all sorts of strange places and positions! I'm sure it's his early morning porridge that does that to him. He really loves it, especially with some evaporated milk mixed into it you should hear him purr when he's eating it!

Jaqui - it's such a shame you've had bad luck with your teeth. Pregnancy gingivitis is very common and, if your teeth were already poor, is probably the reason you've had problems. Dentures these days are really fantastic; my ex boss took real pride and care in every set he made and you just couldn't tell them from the real thing - the techology and materials available are amazing. You'll obviously need to get used to them at first but I'm sure they will transform your life.

Well, thanks for all your totals - I will add them to the update later on this morning.

Kinsey - what sort of bags have you made? I need to know how to list them.

    Hi all
Trust you all had a good weekend ?? I got soaked walking to church again yesterday. Gave my next door neighbour her slipper socks and she was thrilled with them. Have asked me to make her another pair, which I will when I finish off what I'm doing at the moment, which is a little baby jacket for one of my church mums to be :-)

Have a good knitting day everyone.

morning all, just about got rid of the cold here. spent yesterday shopping, and was very very happy :D to find that new look now have a tall section, i need jeans with an inside leg of 36", not easy to find, so i got jeans, black trousers, a blouse, and a gorgeous long black coat, just perfect for this weather.
ISOM, good new about the lodger
F1, i have a fear of dentists myself, so i can understand you being anxious about going. hope you feel better soon
ANN, glad to hear you are safe, and dry, hope the bridge near you is stable. the floods looked horrendous seeing it on the news, really sad news about the poor policeman who lost his life.
SALOME, your neighbour will now have lovely toasty feet, thanks to you, well done.
got a jumper all knitted up for my self, that needs sewing, so think that could be my priority this morning, it's been looking at me, to be finished for the last week :o
    hugs to all the poorlies

enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)
  • Morning all,

Well we have been lucky, We are in one of the few places in Cumbria that hasn't been flooded although we have had rain almost every day for a couple of weeks now and their predicting more for tomorrow night and gale force winds. I'm just hoping it does't hit the people who are already under water. It's heartbreaking watching the news and reading the evening paper.

Ds2 has passed on his rotten cold so I have both boys home today and I feel rough with it too, I have a sore throat and my ears hurt which i think is affecting my balance so a day on the sofa is in order.

Linedancerann glad you are ok and dry.
F1 Good luck with your teeth hopefully not too long to wait.
Shaz wow! you must be really tall I get swamped in a 30" leg. Isn't awful trying to get clothes that fit right, I find i'm too tall for petite ranges and to short for normal sizes and I'm quite curvy so that doesn't help, Oh to be stick thin.lol.
Salome you are a star your neighbour must have been really pleased.

Hope everyone is well, hugs to all.x

Hi Shaz - Jean is working on the spreadsheets for the update this week and would like to know how many Aaron squares were used for your Mum's blankets. Glad you've got rid of the cold and are feeling better, and that you have found jeans to fit!

Salome - your neighbour must have been delighted with her slipper socks.

Ooops. Haven't updated for ages. Will sort out my totals and do so next weekend - honest ;).
  • Similar to K2tog...forgot to update this weekend, so will keep it till next weekend - perhaps might even manage some time to add to it. I am in headless chicken mode this week, trying to get everything ready for DH to take to the UK for friends and family, so don't expect to get on line or on knitting much but will be thinking of you all. Keep safe and warm, cuddles to everyone, back sometime
