morning a...thank you for he update re may although ver sorry to hear she is so poorly...please send a big hug from me and tell her she is in my prayers...
Isoke is goreous and I think of you collectively ("the girls") when she is a pickle because I know many of you would be chuccling with me-while cute it is quite annoying at times! ie just paned a wall and she came to help by brushing next to it...she was a light shade of pink and the wall was hairy!! Fairly gentle day today...will pop in to hobbycraft to see if any wool needs rescue on offer!! Also making limoncello, decorating and meeting friends for coffee this eve...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
I wish there was some way to help Maytaurus, she's a lovely person and is missed immediately. Get well soon you dear girl. xxxx0

Morning all,
Kinsey I know what you mean, makes you feel useless that there isn't a way of helping Maytaurus. I just hope that somehow through the air waves she is getting our good wishes and cyber ((((Hugs)))).
Chalky I love the name banner, Zara is such a lovely name too. I'd like to make some for ds's.
K2tog/Shaz Hope you feel better soon, we've had colds here for nearly 3 weeks now, you feel better and then it seems to come back, I'm still waking myself up coughing and sneezing. Hope yours don't last like mine has.
ISOM Isoke sounds like great company and you seem a lot happier now. I know what you mean about having a good cry, I think i spent most of last year in tears I don't have any left now.
Well i have finished a pudsey bear I want to do another, one for each of ds's schools, but i really didn't enjoy the pattern it was quick to make though so will probably get started on him today. I'm trying not to look out the window as it's chucking it down again. Hope it's sunny where all of you are.
Have a good day all, Hugs to all the poorlie's.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Thank you for your good wishes - voice still a bit croaky but thankfully doesn't seem to be developing into anything else. I hope other poorlies are as fortunate.
Worrying news re May. Sending super-cyber-vibes and hoping she will feel better soon.
AP, I think you may be the only 3 generational tribe of knitters on here - well done DD.
I am a firm believer in having a good blub when you need it. I'm not sure of any scientific basis for it but sometimes it really helps. Hope this year is being kinder to you Onlygirl.
Meant to say the other day that I really loved what Chalky wrote - she does well at wrapping the wittering lovely chaos into beautiful words.
Have some chores to do today but will be popping in and out. My chores today do not include i*****g because (put your fingers in your ears if you don't like ironing) my fantastic DH did a ton of it. Yes, I know I'm lucky.
Have good days all x0 -

Hi everyone. I'm sure all your kind thoughts and wishes are winging their way to Maytaurus as we speak. I hope it's not long before she's back here with us.
Shaz - I hope your cold doesn't last as long as mine - it's still reluctant to go away completely.
I've been thinking about DPixie this morning but I have a feeling she is still in France, which is why we haven't heard from her for a while.
Jacqui - sending you tons of good luck vibes for the op. Hope it all goes well.
ISOM - yes, Louis is just the same. He stole a ball of wool only last night! He has a real fascination for it. I have learnt to pick up my knitting or crochet when his back is turned because, as soon as he sees it, he's wide awake and sat on my lap completely in the way. I've noticed that he chews right through the wool, so, much as I would like to, I can't give him some of his own to play with! I have found that an old sock, rolled up, will keep him occupied, as well as a fabric hair scrunchie.
Chalky - thanks for re-posting those instructions. I think most people have sadness in their lives. My cousin lost a daughter at 2 years old; she drowned in a swimming pool, which was such a tragedy, and another relative lost a baby through meningitis. We've also had two cot deaths in the family, so I'm a little paranoid about it whenever a new baby comes along. How sad for you to have lost your brother. I don't think any of us escape but, oh, how hard it it to get through such sad times. My Dad died forty years ago when I was 16, and not a day goes by when I don't think about him and wish he was here.
Well, I shall be posting the update a bit later. The spreadsheet is all Jean's hard work; she keeps one going, and I keep another one going, so at least we can now cross-reference, which really puts my mind at rest that the mistakes will be in the past from now on!
Anyway, I'm off for another cuppa.
By the way, no news on my sister yet. They still can't say what's wrong with her. Her liver is swollen which is worrying and we're all hoping it's just down to the meds she was on. It seems that her doctor just kept prescribing things for her without monitoring her; at least now she is getting the right attention.

Hello everyone
Thank you so much for your kind words regarding the theft whilst I was on holiday.Thankfully it didn't spoil things too much.
Sadly, there seem to be lots of people who are ill or who have lots to worry about, I send my best wishes to you all. As everyone has said, Maytaurus's posts are sadly missed.
ISOM - thankfully I had lots of hot sunshine in the Costa Del Sol. :cool2: Sorry I can't make your group this weekend due to a weekend away.
K2tog - I liked the reference to my knitting family as a 'tribe of knitters' gave me a chuckle. My Mum has taught us all.
Have a nice day everyone.0 -
Good afternoon all,
Well, its ages since I’ve posted here, where to start, I had the awful cold – decidedly yucky! Then a lovely visit from my DS and his OH – first time we met – a lovely girl!
This last week I’ve still been in recovery mode pottering about during the day but totally wiped out by tea time.
Still I’ve been lurking & reading, THANK YOU all so much for your kind words and good wishes, it is amazing how much difference a quick read of your news and messages makes to how I feel.
I haven’t done much with needles & hooks over the last 3 weeks but got back into the swing of things over this weekend, I’ve done 3 “pot holders” all different, and made a start on a baby cardigan, these are for a Fete at Mum’s nursing home.
((((((((HUGS)))))) for all the poorlies, Get Well Soon! & for those in lurking mode – hang in there!
luv

PS - just read about Maytaurus - Get well soon honey, we miss you!
