Hi everyone and thanks for the good wishes for my sister. I've just spoken to my BIL and the doctors are not sure what is wrong with her at the moment. She's in an isolation ward in case she's infectious, and they are running lots of tests. Four consultants have already been to see her. She's never known good health, so, as my BIL says, she's having all the tests she should have had years ago. I'm hoping it will all turn out to be a blessing in the long run, although it's not very pleasant for her right now. She hasn't kept anything down since Saturday but, now that she's in the right place, BIL said she's looking a lot better.

Anyway, the morning has just run away with me because I've been catching up on chores (slowly, to save my energy at the moment!). I need to pop out to the shops later but the fresh air will do me good. It's dry and quite bright at the moment, though not set to last. I shall be crocheting this afternoon and taking it easy. It's been a rotten few days feeling ill, but nothing compared to my sister, and lots of other people who really are ill. I'm very grateful to be bouncing back.

Mrs Moneypenny - does my DH envy yours. He loves Beyonce! Have a great time - I bet she's brilliant live.

Kinsey - (((hugs))) to your brother. I hope he gets the help he needs.

    See you all later.

ISOM.. Sickies seem to have gone now thank you. Have a couple of the children moaning about some aches and pain etc, but not too bad. Thank you for your kind words about my son who died. The anniversary is coming up soon, The actual accident will be 7yrs ago on the 15th Nov, he died on the 1st Dec. Always a sad time, but life goes on, and although you never really get over something like that, you do learn to live with it. He was a lovely boy, and we all miss him very much, but he wouldn't have wanted us to be mopey, he was too full of life and fun. His car collided with a lorry that had broken down at the bottom of a hill, on a busy road. He wasn't speeding. The police think that due to his youth, he mis-judged the road surface etc, It had been raining, and because he was due to travel that day, he'd put air in his tyres, and he'd put too much in. He would have seen the lorry in plenty of time, but it's thought that he assumed it would be gone by the time he got to it, where as a more experienced driver would automatically slow down earlier. When he realised the lorry wasn't going on, they think he applied his breaks, and because there was too much air in them, and the road was wet, he aquaplaned into the lorry :-( He never regained conscienceousness. He was in intensive care for two weeks. We are Christians and do have a faith, which has been a great help. The only real sorrow I have is that we were never able to tell the lorry driver that we were, and would be ok, and I do wonder a lot about him, and how he is.
Moilere... I'm glad your picking up a bit, and prayers and hugs for your sister, and for you xx

    Have a good day.

Salome - I had a lump in my throat reading your post. It is my worst nightmare that anything will happen to my son (my one and only child) when he is driving. I never settle until he has arrived safe and well. Your faith must be very strong. Puts all my gripes and moans into perspective that's for sure.

    Salome,
Sorry I have not been very with it these last few days, sorry to hear what happened.
We only have one DS (and not planning any more kids)- cannot imagine losing him (he is currently dancing to the Killers lol!). Hugs.
Managed to get a Postman Pat knitting pattern in the charity shop today.....looks like it might be fun to do. Also juliejim (from flylady) kindly sent me a Fireman Sam jumper pattern so if I make something from those DS should be happy chappy!
Hope everyone else is ok. If I finish the cardi I am doing later I will update otherwise it will be nothing from me this week.

ETA just to say my mum is in hospital again :confused:, so any prayers (or whatever else you fancy!) would be welcomed....she has possible acute pancreatitis, low white blood cells, possible gall stone problems (despite having had her gall bladder taken out a few years ago!).
