    Hi everyone.

Pippa - hope you had a brilliant birthday. What a date and time to be born!

I'm sorry I haven't been around but today I felt lousier than I did when this cold first started. I think if I feel the same tomorrow, I'll be off to the doctor for some antibiotics, in case it's turned into sinusitis, which I sometimes get after a cold. I managed to do a bit of ironing this morning, then spent the afternoon under a blanket on the sofa falling asleep.

We've had dinner which has made me feel a bit better, so I thought I'd catch up with you all before I have a shower and an early night.

I'll catch up with all your news tomorrow but I hope you all have a great evening.

  • Happy birthday Anne hope the day has been a good one for you and that you havent eaten all your chocolates Xx

  • tight as do you need knitting fairies or did you ind a pattern that suited?!
Done a few rows of the beret but its hard going! unsure if I'm pssoing right...I move one stitch over (without knitting) then knit a stitch and pass the not knitted stitch over the newly knitted one - makes a sort of diagonal on the wool. Is that right?! Slightly panicked that its only a month to Christmas...must make limoncello or it wont be ready - idealy shoud have 6 weeks...oops!

there ya go - limoncello - lemon vodka which is yummy after a nice meal...get asda smartprice lemons and vodka, sugar and put in a large sterilized sealed glass jar with squeezed lemons, zest and then shake every day for about a week until sugar dissolves and leave...then consume! makes yummy pressie to and you can make it look ultra professional by using small bottles (ie think appletise, luscome drinks etc) and seal with a wine cap and label...
Realising that was a bit general heres a recipe!!

ANNE -As you didn't phone me to assist with the chocolates I can only assume that you had a great day eating them all, good on you.
KATHY-please get along to the quack and see what he can give you for that cold/virus.....you might need a wheelbarrow to get it all home from the chemist - they love to over prescribe.
Today I am attempting a wee cardigan on the knitting machine - probably end up chucking it in the bucket a few times till I get it right - that's why I am starting with a little one, I will see how that goes.
I also posted off a quick jiffy bag parcel to LH with some poppies, boobies and flag squares in, I am frightened that if I keep them here they will all get caught up in the pre Ch******s postal fiasco.
ISOM - the best Limoncello I ever had was when we lived in Naples, whiz down the coast to Salerno, Amalfi or Sorrento and sit in the sun drinking it.......oh happy memories.
Rain here again today, so I should crack on with the knitting.
Cuddles for everyone, hope its a great day wherever and whatever you are all doing.
