Hi all - just catching up with things. DH keeps asking me for help so I'm not getting much done. I did manage to make some onion soup, although the onions really made me cry, and I've just put a casserole made with a chicken carcass on to cook for tea; the cats (our little Louis and next door's cat who thinks he lives with us now) were frantic for some chicken, so I had to give them some just to get them out of my hair.

Anyway, I intend to sit down for an hour or so with my crochet - just finishing DGD's lapghan, then will do some charity things, then make a start on DGS's lapghan. I'm looking forward to an early dinner then settling down to watch Strictly and do some more crochet.

Both DSs and families have Skyped so I've had a good chat with them all; Summer had her six week check on Monday and passed with flying colours, and everyone else is well and happy. I'd be lost without Skype - phoning is OK, but seeing them as well is magical for me. It's really boosted my day to have seen them all.

Anyway, hopefully I can now have an hour's peace and quiet - hope you are having good days, too.

    KathyXX

Shelly if it would help I could send the paltry amount I have? Only 2 has and 2 angel wraps...have just got some yummy autumnal wool (swapped for the jumper I decided was too dull) to make a ripple jumper for Fergs Christmas pressie...off I go! Dinner cooked, house tidied so rest of day is mine, friends and enjoyment. Asked lodger if she would like to join us for food ...one more wont hurt!

Hope everyone is having productive days doing what everyone loves best ---- wow thats a lot of scope and I shall be doing more "ahooking" it sounds so dodgy on reflection!!!

Still making the lapacuddlyghans. DD2 came in last night and asked how many of them I am doing, She thinks they are for the usual charities and has no idea I am doing 3. 1 for her 1 for dd1 and 1 for ddil. Anyway she kept saying I like that colour etc .This afternoon I have just started hers and I have realised you need to think abouth the person as you work ( I knew this with ddil cos she doesnt like pink ) but as I start dd2 the colours are so bright they nearly clash --- so like her !!!

Well DOH is cooking tea. Crab and Chilli Linguine. A Good Food recipe that is so tasty and uses a tin of crab So thats a treat. More Hooking time !!

Kathy so please you are loving the skype --

    Shelley Glad parcel arrived

Gentle thoughts to all those feeling a bit sad or down.

Thank you to everyone for kind comments about my blog. I am just beginning to really enjoy it, as posting pictures etc is getting a bit more controlled and predictable. What a hash I was making of it to begin with and its only having a stubborn streak that kept me at it -- although I would not admit that to anyone else !!

Enjoy Strictly or X Factor which ever is your cuppa. Trying not to be judgemental but imagine what good the million pounds that Simon Cowell is spending on his party
could do for some of our charities!!
Try and do a good deed every day.

Good afternoon all, here’s me, reporting as ordered (stands up straight & salutes Chalky).

As I mentioned before, I’ve had a strange week, Mum’s been a bit under the weather (sore throat & sniffles) and therefore unpredictable.

On Tuesday my DS attended family court to try and sort out some access to his children, a provisional deal was agreed - come Wednesday his ex sent an email saying she wasn’t going to comply!! Sometimes I might as well be the other side of the world not just 450 miles away!

On the upside – I had a small windfall in the post this week :j so off I went to Meadowhall with PamsPal, after lunch we headed to M&S hmmm a bit busy saw some nice bits n pieces but decided to be goodish & just get some jeans in a nice muddy aubergine sort of colour , looked at the pay desks, there were about 25 people in the queue at one area and about 20 at each of the other 2. Humph - decided that the jeans could wait for another day – I hate those queues! :o

Today I’ve been for lunch with little bro. We splurged at Morrisons caf! – I had fish n chips – the best piece of fish I’ve had in ages, beautifully cooked with a lovely thin crispy batter, bro had roast beef with all the trimmings, loads of tasty beef, great value for £10. A real lazy food day ‘cos I’m off to PamsPal for Strictly & supper.

ISOM – have sent you my addy as requested

Must go now – nearly time for strictly so quick walkies then I’m ready.

    (((HUGS))) to all
    luv
    Pam :smileyhea
