Shaz- just to say good luck with the SAD lamp. Where we live (in the extreme North lol) there is a distinct lack of light in the winter months, and I think this definately helps make people more depressed. I feel for you and hope you manage to get things sorted.
Sounds like you are getting on well with all your knitting, I know how you feel about not having time to do own stuff, but I like the feeling of having more knitting than time....knitting uses my hands and saves me from using them to fill my face with food lol.

  • morning all...a late start today having gone to bed at 1.30am...always takes me a while to unwind from babysitting! Feeling a bit hungover after checking that the rasp vodka was ok to drink! Three things on today - first stress councelling, gp and babysitting...Did loads of my scarf last night and hope to finish tonight so will post a piccy.
Pfungi I have something that I would like to post if you could pm your addy...nothing wool related but an object that you can show "the girls" when it arrives!! It has askedto come and live at your house and in the circumstances feel it would be rude not to!!
Love the tales of puss cats miol! Babysitting cat is lovely but alas old and I doubt they will get another so will have to find alternative cat fix! Going to help at catwel sale tomorrow in the hope that I'll get approval to socialise kittens for them!! Do miss the cats but dont miss the cleaning up after them! They are settling and now in the garden at their new home and all spoiled rotten! Mum makes me talk to dotty when I ring!
OS am VERY impressed with your hats - patterns and everything! I'm still only on knit and perl!! Hugs re depression - horrible...sad lights do make a differences as does little alcohol, sleep and fresh food I am told...hugs for you
OG hows the declutter? So chuffed to have inspired people - lots have seen the difference its made to me and have decluttered too!! Liberating isnt it - providing you dont go fill with other stuff!!
Must on...have a good day all!

    Morning all

Goodness me 4 pages already in just 2 days, :D

Kathy - yes thats right I did just "inherit"that book and I started a penguin last night....and errrm well its a bit early to say yet what it is

Shelley - I did a couple of hedgehogs for you last night, I already have a parcel ready to send, so I will put them in that and send them all together.

Hi May nice to see you

Elaine - have done a few Christmas stockings and a beanie hat so far, do you want hedgehogs or have you enough? The penguin is for you too, if it turns out looking what its supposed to look like anyway

With you all talking about the clown I have the urge to do one and maybe a Topsy Turvy doll (just because it looks so cute)

Had a look at the Sirdar Loopa (Shaz it was you who posted it was'nt it)? last night it looks really good think I will send for them....or maybe Santa will put them in my stocking  a word in the right quarter I think.

Bit sad today its 4 years since my middle sister died suddenly and still it hurts like hell :cry: spoke to youngest sis last night and we both ended up in tears....does it ever get any better.....I think what made it worse was on the way to the hospital to see her... OH and I were in an horrific accident, and sis had died by the time I was cut out of the car.
So I did'nt get to see her, my poor Mum could'nt understand it she thought I was breathing my last as well, but someone was smliling on me that night, (well very early morning anyway)

    O dear better go
    back later
    Anne

have just finished the last bit on a hoody i was making for myself... and i dont like it on me  am feeling even more down now as it was expensive to knit (£65) and will prob never get worn, think i'm too old for hoodies, but it did look nice on the pattern, serves me right i should act my age.

yes the jean greenhowe stuff are always easy to knit, and they look lovely when done, i fancy a go at a topsy turvey doll, once i have some other wip's finished.

hugs to mrs moneypenny, and pippa

I always get upset seeing people being cut out of cars my best friend died (instantly thankfully) over 20 years ago and had to be cut out...my take on missing people is that it is our way of keeping them alive in the world so while painful also gives solace iykwim!
