Elaine - you've left me behind as well, 3 gorgeous LO's for me 2 girls and a boy. Sorry you have had such an upsetting week
ISOM - glad the first session is over for you,
Kathy - I am another who has cold 'bones' and once they get cold the only way I really get warm is to snuggle down in bed.We bought a Merino wool underblanket 3 years ago, its double thickness 2.5" and it makes a huge difference, mind you it cost a fortune  but ooo it was worth it.
mrs-moneypenny - I wondered where you were, nice to see you back.Hope things sort themselves out for you
Been to see my friend this PM and she gave me the IS hats she has done I have some pom-poms left so I will stitch them on to use them up.
Looking forward to a big knit tonight,I have 2 scarves, a penguin and the ripple blanket on the go so I need to put a wriggle on.
thanks for the hugs, I am ok really its just sometimes it hits me:o
enjoy the rest of your evening all

Got to work today to be met by the Activities Organiser with two HUGE sacks of wool which had been donated by a local knitting group. Our ladies can't manage all of this, she said, do you want to have a look through and help yourself.
Obviously as I've just signed on here and signed up to Loving Hands and Wooligans, this is God's way of saying get on with it...:rotfl:
I feel I should be producing A LOT very quickly, but the dog is whining so I've got to take him out for a walk. Start when I come back... :rolleyes:0 -
Well, thats the back of DS jumper done
, and a big dent made in the first neck tie too
.
Spent the afternoon sitting under a blanket on the sofa then in DS's room under the duvet on the spare bed, knitting!
Lucky you with the wool ChocClare- isn't it nice when things like that happen!
For those of you cold, it is pretty chilly and dull and rainy up here and the temps have dropped.....good job I like making DS woolies! I have my late fathers old thermal blanket and I love it for cold weather. Also need to re-sew some of the loose bits on my squares blankie.
Elaine, thoughts are with you for your DS and another grand child......scary times but potentially also wonderful times too!
Hugs to all of you, chip shop tea for us tonight (DH treat) then play with DS followed by more knitting under a blankie me thinks.
x
ETA Pippa, enjoy your knitting tonight....is the penguin an easy pattern ?Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Hello everyone.
Just spent some minutes reading everyones news and firstly my Mum always said "every baby brings their own joy" and I think your very special new grandchild will bring so much joy Elaine. I know we always have a plan in our minds re our lives and families but how often the road takes a different turn. I so hope this little journey for your daughter and you is met with rainbows and sunshine.
Lots of loving gentle thoughts to you and all having to cross bridges at the moment.
As for me -- well I officially need certfying !! Family meal last night and cooked lovely gammon joint, mashed potatoes, peas and a delicious parsley sauce . Sounds gorgeous --- well it would have been if I had not made the white sauce with icing sugar instead of flour!!!!!! Thank goodness DD1 tasted the sauce before I poured it over 8 dinners !!!!! I wondered why it didn't thicken as usual ( not so daft as it sounds labels had come off Tupperware tubs !!)
Still crocheting like mad and enjoying but need to stop visiting wool shop !!!
Right must go because we are meeting some friends for a bar snack. Happy crafting everybodyTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Oh, Chalky - that's as bad as my brother once making us all coffee with Bisto powder! You always have the right way with words, and I'm sure Elaine will love what you have said about her forthcoming grandchild.
Well, I've just had one of those showers that you stay under for too long, and now I'm finally warm. I look extremely glamorous in a long dress, a long fleecy dressing gown, and over-the-knee socks, just ready for a night's clubbing - I think not! What I really wanted was a bath, but we don't have one yet! Still, the shower did the trick. I now have to keep Louis the kitten otherwise occupied when I get my crochet out. I hope he's ready for nap - he enjoyed the leftover spaghetti bolognaise he had for his tea!
Hope you all have a good evening.

morning chalkey - love your new post on your blogsite - love the toys especially the bunny and the hedgies.
elaine, congratulations, i think a little one that is brought into a family that is filled with love is a very precious gift. it may take a little getting used to, but think of all that lovely knitting/crocheting you can do for it. my granny used to make me stuff and although she died 9 years ago, i still miss her like crazy - she was probably the person i loved most in my life, she was my rock.
isom - chin up, you are doing well and you should be proud of yourself.
must dash, will be back in a wee while.

In haste as lost me post! Chalky "up all night ahooking" just sounds wrong!!!!
DP hows the declutter going? Wish I could post before and after photos as the change here is stunning and liberating. Thank you for kind words...it is tough going but I know I'll get through this and look back a better person and understanding why God has this in His plan. For the first time have just let go and trusted Him with it all...maybe the lesson in itself. Got some of scarf done last night but took O on an adventure (to drop M&D into town) and was told that I was beautiful and very kind by him which was lovely...hes a cracker and comes up with some hilarious comments - like "have you got a baby in your tummy" - no says I, I've just got a fat tummy!! His mum was mortified but I loved it (I actually am quite attached to my wobbly tummy!!)...bless him hes in big school now too!!! Have looked after him for a couple of years and lovely to see him grow...anyway must on as have to be showeerd dressed at off to help at cat sale ...the things we do to "get in" so that I can get my kitten socialiasation/cuddles but on the condition I dont take any home with me!!Girls, we need a miracle!!!
