Jean - sounds as if the man flu is wearing you out! Try and take it easy, please!
Pippa - yes, it's hard to believe how well we've done. I hadn't realised how big the old thread had got, or that it appeared scary to potential newbies, so it's a good thing Pen Pen stepped in when she did! Thanks, Pen Pin!
Orkney Star - it was L C Wilson on here who designed the crib - she did a fantastic job, didn't she?
Chalky - loving your blog! Fancy the ferry being booked - we've caught it loads of times and it has never been booked before. Perhaps more people are wintering in Spain this year! Hope it goes smoothly whenever you sail. Like the idea of another week in the UK buying wool, though!
Kinsey - don't talk to me about dust! Since DH has spent all week plastering and so on, the dust is awful, but I'm waiting until he's finished this particular job before I do 'proper' dusting! I've spent all morning helping him cut down an old ledge-and-brace door we found in the barn - it will look great when it's finished but needs to be made shorter to fit the doorway, so I've been roped into helping. I don't mind because he helped me lift all my C*****mas boxes down into the spare room downstairs, so that I can start going through what I've got. (I know it's not C*****mas yet, but it's only around twelve weeks away!). There were a lot of boxes because I decided my wool and craft boxes might as well be moved, too. Now I have everything I need in one fairly non-spidery room, and it makes me feel good to have it all handy.
DPixie - Attic 24 is fantastic, isn't she? Did you see that she has a whole new group that have been inspired by her? I think it's called Attic 24 Inspiration. What a lovely feeling it must be to have fired so many people's imaginations. I just love the way she combines colours in the things she makes. I want to have a go at the bag she designed, maybe as a present for my Mum.
(((Hugs))) to those who are MIA at present; Psso and Maytaurus - hope you are both well.

kinsey - not sure what i am going to do yet, am sort of waiting for it to hit me - i think i need some inspiration.
kathy - i just love her colour combo's i am working on what colours i might have in my new study in france - when that happens - i think cream with pink, lime green, orange and purple. however, if you make the bag and it works out and you dont want it any more, i am sure that i could give it a wonderful home ... hint hint.
i have just had a look at the red heart web site - it makes me green with envy when i look at the low cost of cotton yarn in the states. i am rather tempted to buy some and have it sent to a friend of mine in utah and ask him to bring it out when he next visits - not sure when next visit is due, but it could be a few months - is it worth waiting for???
oh well, coffee time

DPixie - if it really is much much cheaper than the UK, I would go for it. You'll have something that may not be available in the UK, plus, something to look forward to when your friend from Utah visits, however long it takes! Now I'm going to have to take a look at the site, too. I have relatives in the States, but they aren't due to visit for at least a year! Too long to wait, methinks! Your study in France sounds lovely already!

I might make some more if time but going to move back to crib next.

Hi everyone!
I am looking for some really old fashioned tacky jumper patterns, you know the kind, bright gaudy colours etc! Just wondered if any of you know where I could find something like that? And maybe some similar christmas patterns nearer the time too?!
Thank you xx0 -

Yeah it worked, then it didn't, then it did again. The hats are not brill but they are ok for a first attempt I think.......they are the correct size and neat enough, just not hugely imaginative patterns!
