Sleepy sleepy sleepy tonight. Am going to bed at 10 pm and I WILL get up on time, have breakfast at home and go to work.
Have just made roast beef for some sandwiches for lunch. Tastes delicious! Been told I am anaemic so I need to try and eat some more red meat. Expensive and not all that healthy but what can you do?
Am feeling a bit more positive tonight. Parents lent me their steam cleaner and I cleaned up the bathroom radiator, skirting boards and the oven in the flat. Came up a treat - saved me buying any oven cleaner too! :money:
Have joined the PAD thread, not sure how it will work out with the way I have been budgeting but I am going to give it a go. The idea of having a credit card statement with lots of pay-ins not pay-outs is quite appealing!
Am putting a bit of a hold on the exercise this week while I am concentrating on the flat. Have to try and compensate with eating less though...that is always the bit I struggle with! I like my food FAR too much!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

Ooh, thanks for that Lucielle! Lentil soup is lovely, will try and dig up a recipe for that, good idea. Not so keen on broccoli but I have been trying to eat spinach. Eggs are supposed to have a fair bit of iron in them too so I'm trying to eat a bit more of them.LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0

I can do this, I can do this, I can do this. One day at a time, one step at a time, one debt at a time. This is possible. I can, I can, I can.
I WILL be debt free one day.LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

Thanks Kittikins, sometimes the end just seems a long way away.
I was having a bit of a panic yesterday afternoon, just needed to try and cheer myself on a bit.
PAD of £10 and a NSD today. This is good progress!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Well, went and picked up my iron tablets at lunchtime and had to pay for the prescription so that put an end to my NSD plans. Never mind though, I think my health is probably more important than the October NSD challenge?!

I was just reading a really good blog post on one of my favourite blogs www.dietgirl.org and she was saying what her fitness fantasies would be given all the time and money she needed.
It's an interesting concept, I was thinking what my general/life fantasies would be if anything was possible. Some of them are fitness, some of them are financial and some of them are just random.
When my debts are paid how many of them are possible? How many of them are possible now? What can I do to make them a reality?
THE LIST- To be debt free with enough money in the bank so as not to be in a blind panic when ever the thought of possibly losing my job crossed my mind.
- To be able to put a deposit down on my flat and get a proper buy to let mortgage when my current fixed rate runs out.
- To go on two holidays a year to interesting places, even just weekend city breaks to see a bit more of the world.
- To be able to join david lloyd's gym as the classes are at much more convenient times for me or for someone to open up a gym either in my street or next door to my office.
- To be able to go back to British Military Fitness classes in the park.
- To run the Great North Run and eventually the London Marathon.
- To not get out of bed in the morning feeling like I have only had 2 hours sleep when in fact it has been 8.
- Someone to invent a pizza hut cheesy bites sizzler pizza that has the same number of calories as broccolli.
- To have a personal trainer
- To have a training session with Jillian Michaels
- For someone to open me up a personal fast lane to get to and from work so I don't spend an hour a day in traffic for a round trip of 12 miles.
- To eat high quality organic low calorie food all the time.
- To be able to have a tummy tuck to get rid of loose skin without the risk of a recurring DVT.
- To have two sky boxes and TVs so me and OH don't have to argue over what to watch.
- To go shopping with Gok Wan to get a wardrobe full of clothes for every occaision. Which I don't have to pay for!
- A spa day/weekend
- To have an early morning yoga class before work.
- A self-cleaning George Foreman.
- Low calorie peanut butter
- To be motivated enough to clean my car more often
- The garden at my house to be magically sorted out into a beautiful low maintenance space, with a vegetable patch and a sun drenched seating area with a rotary washing line.
- A chest freezer!
Three years ago the top of my list would have been to lose weight, be able to shop in normal shops and not get out of breath walking up one flight of stairs. I can do that now, so maybe I could...
Now, if anyone does want to open up my own traffic free commute I will be more than grateful!

Yum yum - low calorie Peanut butter! I wish! :rotfl:
Well done Katy - you're doing just fine. Try not to get downhearted when things seem to be taking a bit of a negative turn - look at how far you've come already rather than solely focusing on what you still have to do.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hi Katy - I haven't posted for a couple of months but I've just read through your diary - you write really well and you are very inspiring! You've done so much already!
I love your list of wants. The Great North Run is definitely on my wish list too!0
