    Good luck :D

Hi Katy, I've been reading your diary and you are doing so well :A

Your down day seemed to be about worry if something went wrong with the flat for example or a big bill, well thats understandable. What is also understandable is that you want to pay everything you can to the debt to get it down asap BUT if you read diaries from long termers here I think the thing they learnt way down the line was that if they did not budget properly plus budget for the unexpected then there is a chance that the debt can go up at times to be able to pay for the 'big things'. So as time went on they started budgetting for these things.

What I am trying to say is, would it be better to have an emergencies pot that you put say £50 or £100 per mth in instead of throwing it at the debt. If after 12 mths the money has not been needed for an emergency then you could maybe pay half of it off the debt and keep the rest to continue with the emergency pot.

Its just a suggestion but as you seem so in control of everything else this might help that feeling you seem to get of the fear of 'if something unexpected comes along'.

    That was long winded :o

Just had a nice surprise this morning - checked my egg loan balance and it's £282 less than I thought! I must have written the balance down before the payment had gone in. So my new total balance in £16,214...yipee!

Thanks for the advice KM, I am starting to wonder the same thing myself about an emergency fund. I do want to try and make a concerted effort over the next few months to pay off my virgin card...that is the one that is costing me a lot in interest at the moment. Hmm, lots to think about.

Thanks for the nice words about the health/weight thing. It was utterly terrifying at the time and really hard work to lose the weight. So so worth it though, totally changed my life. I don't think it will ever be something I can forget about entirely, but I do try and make it part of a routine now.

Just realised that I forgot to buy teabags yesterday as well  nightmare.

Can't believe it is Sunday again...where do the weekends go? Must be all that blanket snuggling - telly watching fun! xx

Just another manic monday, do dee doo...

Just passing the last 15 minutes of work before I can go home - have got loads done today so don't feel too guilty. Seem to have gotten over my motivational slump a bit anyway.

Ended up having to go home at lunchtime - ripped my tights on a packing crate in the office and was so determined today would be a NSD that I went home and changed them rather than going to asda round the corner. It may have been a false economy though as it is a 12 mile round trip...but I am claiming a moral victory ;)

Homemade prawn tikka masala for dinner tonight, yummy! Then I am off to yoga, am starting to feel a bit PMT-ish so hopefully it will chill me out a bit. I'm sure OH hopes so anyway, poor thing, I am usually horrible at this TOTM :o. Going to try and do lots and lots of exercise to get the happy hormones going...

    xx

Me and OH had a bit of a falling out over the curry  He doesn't like milk or cream in cooking usually. The last time I made that curry I told him it was out of a jar and he loved it. This time he caught sight of the empty creme fraiche pot in the bin and kicked up a fuss about it. Why would he enjoy it when it he thinks it comes out of a jar and not when it is fresh??? Grrr...

He ate it in the end but still, I just feel like I am putting in loads of effort with things like that and he just wants to eat jars and frozen pizza half the time! I suppose it's not all his fault, maybe I should have told him what was in it. And he didn't know me when I was dieting (although he does know about it) and I suppose can't realise how important the whole healthy, fresh food thing is to me.

Am trying not to lose my temper over it, I know I've got PMT which is probably making me overreact. He's on his own tomorrow night anyway - I'm going to my riding lesson and I'll not get back till late so I'll probably just have an omelette.

Not long back from yoga anyway and feeling a bit more chilled out now and sort of stretched. Am debating getting up before work and going for a swim. Our shower is out of action, so it's either the gym, shower at work or be smelly
