Fantastic news, spoke to Scottish Power this morning and I am due a £166 refund and I'm due a £80 refund on my council tax.
Also checked envirofone and I can get £145 for my handset...it's a posh N96 one but I only every use it to phone or text so a cheap one would do me fine.
So all in all that is an extra £391 off the virgin card. This card is starting to feel like my personal quest in life. I wake up in the middle of the night plotting ways to pay more money off it and imagining what I am going to say when I phone up to close it...it's like public enemy number one at the minute.

I am just a little bit excited...because I got the job!!! They phoned yesterday about an hour after the second interview and offered me the job!!! Yipee!!!
I don't quite believe it, I think I need to see it written down somewhere first. It is just incredible, the opportunity of a lifetime. I am so excited!
The salary is about 5% more, better benefits, more opportunities and free lunch...eek!!
Not sure what it is going to mean financially for the next couple of months, they are talking about me starting the first week in January. Haven't got much holiday left in my current job though so I might need to take some time off unpaid which will be a bit sh*t. And I will need to pay back the money for my bike which I bought on the cycle to work scheme. But I reckon with my new found budgeting skills I can probably cope with it, and I will definitely be better off in the long run.
Somebody please pinch me!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

The job is not too different to what I am doing at the moment, but it is a two-year development role and will lead to what I really, really want to do. The three people who have had it before have all moved on into what I would probably say is my dream job. And it is a much better company to work for as well. :cool:LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0

Brrr, it's freezing today! The cars wee like big metal blocks of ice this morning, am definitely going to have to dig out my scarf and gloves.
I'm off work today - OH had his day in court with the builder who din't finish what he has been paid for and the guy agreed to settle on our terms. It's really good news, I haven't said much about it but it has been a big worry. Means we can finally relax and just enjoy the house now.
I went on a cooking marathon yesterday, made soup (parsnip and apple), bread, scones, vegetable lasagne and granola. Felt very domestic godess like after all that. Hopefully that should mean that most of the cooking for the week is done and I shouldn't really need any food shopping for a couple of weeks either.
I spoke to one of my friends last night and she and her OH are coming up to see us at the end of November. It will be lovely to see them but I haven't budgeted any money for thier visit. I'm hoping though that my Scottish Power refund will be through by then and my money for my old phone. That should sort me out money wise. Thankfully they are not the sort of friends who expect to do all sorts of expensive stuff.
I'm on my way out to pick up my contract for my new job and I've got the medical booked for Saturday. It's all happening!
Then I need to get on with some ironing, it has been looking at me accusingly for days!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0
