I couldn't agree more EH, feeling in control of money, for the first time ever is a wonderful feeling. I can't believe how great it is to think, yes I can afford a takeaway tonight, because I've budgeted for it...or even better, no i don't want a takeaway because it's not MSE and I'm going to do some sort of old style challenge on the freezer/cupboard. :D

The change in outlook is amazing too, my friends and family don't quite believe it's me yet. I remember they were like this when I was losing weight too, until I was a couple of stone down they just didn't think it was true. I'm determined to prove it to them!

Flat viewings have gone really well, I've got two offers for the place already and one person is going to give me a call tomorrow with another offer. Got another viewing at 7pm too! Don't think it will take too long to go, in fact I'm thinking now I can afford to be choosy...

EH - I love the fact that you have such a huge goal to work towards, that's all it is, whether you're talking about money or weight or anything, it's just having the right motivation.

Right, must run and see the next one xx

Wow have just read from where I last left off and aren't you doing well.

I hope all your interviews go well for the job that you want, and my oh is in the same position as you with his house, he spent all of the last week he was home painting and cleaning it, the agent has just done the carpets and fixed the windows, so is being advertised, fingers crossed he is as lucky with you and can be choosy with tennants!! I doubt it though, everyone is really tight round here!! But fingers crossed....

You are super motivated and I love your wants list, definitely going to do one myself and see what is actually achieveable with a little bit of work.

You are a true inspiration, and thank you for your lovely comments and your advice you have given me in my diary, you have helped me no end.

    xx

Woo hoo!!! Have got tenants moving in tonight!!!!

They were my 7pm viewing on Saturday and they loved the place, I really liked them, they have the money and are desperate to move quick.

I am so excited, the place will finally be off my hands, off my bank account (the rent is £4 short of the mortgage a month - can probably stretch to that :D) and I can finally start paying my proper share of money to OH for the house and make some real inroads into the debt.

    Yipee!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j

Hoorah! Great news about the tenants, what a relief :)

My exOH was always making snide comments about how I was "obsessed" with money, and had/has HUGE debts, but that was okay, as 'everyone has an overdraft/99 credit cards/loans etc etc). Boy, I don't miss that one bit :) (actually, I can't think of anything I miss from him now!)

So, the tenants are in, the rent is in the bank...well more accurately been paid off the credit card and it's all good news! I did get a frantic phone call this morning saying they had pulled the door handle off but we've been over tonight and fixed it.

Managed to pay £250 off the credit card from the rent and gave OH some money towards the mortgage this month. Did have to pay out £194 for a new landlord insurance policy but I remembered to pay through quidco, although things are going to be pretty tight for the rest of month.

Oh sh*t just remembered about the washing in the machine, it's been there for 2 days, must be reeking!
