hi EH it's strange isn't it how long it takes us to get the easy things, it took me months or years to realise that instead of doing one transfer from my overdrawn account the day after payday to the bills account, by doing 4 during the month i would save myself loads of interested. Worked out i went from £12 - £15 interest each month down to about £5 duh how stupid was i?

That is a brilliant idea!! Why did I never think of that?? This site (and the people on it) are amazing :money: :D.

Spoke to my friends last night who are coming up, they are in a similar situation with the money as well this month so they are definitely up for a cheap weekend. That's a good idea about the tourist information, I've never thought of doing that...doh!

Got the Scottish Power refund paid in the bank yesterday so thankfully have enough to see me through to the end of the month. Had a bit of a stressful afternoon with my sister yesterday so I ended up treating me and OH to a chinese last night. That's the no-takeaway rule broken but like I say, it was a difficult afternoon. Excuses, excuses, I know :o.

Feeling exhausted today, must try and go and get some new iron tablets tonight. Have taken the old ones for the moment, just to try and perk myself up a bit. My sister is supposed to be coming over for tea tonight and she is having a few problems at the moment so I don't suppose it would be very fair to sat no. Am going to try and go for a swim before she comes so hopefully that will wake me up a bit. Oooh, sleep... xx

i was really exhausted last night (went to bed at 9) and this morning i really had to drag myself out of bed, heaven know's why i'm so tired, but i guess it's because of the flu i had last week.
Hope you enjoyed your swim and your sisters visit.

Well I tried to get a good nights sleep last night - had a lovely evening with my sister and OH. We had a nice curry and watched university challenge (managed to answer 3 questions!) and life. That programme is amazing, I am definitely going to save up for an HD tv when I am debt free.

I've changed my signature today, the vexatious virgin will not be paid in 100 days, not now that I am going to have to take unpaid leave in January. From my rough calculations (won't know for sure till I get a start date) I could be looking at up to 7 days unpaid plus the cost of paying back my bike. I think with some careful budgeting and a lean Christmas I can make it but there won't be anything left for debt repayments in the next couple of months.

I'm going to leave it here as a marker of what I have managed though and hopefully it shouldn't be too long past the end of January (March maybe) when it actually is paid.

Vexatious Virgin paid in 100 days (31st Jan) £373.19/£2287
