Just had a yummy egg mayo and cheese wrap for lunch and some greek yoghurt with chopped plums. I'm trying to get back on the eating wagon with some smaller portions and better food.
I'm doing it in a very DFW way though, all the food from the fridge/freezer and absolutely NO buying stuff at work.
Riding lesson tonight too for some good exercise...hoping that by the end of the week my iron tablets will have kicked back in and I'll be feeling a bit more energetic about the gym.
If it's not food it's money and if it's not money it's work and if it's not work it's family...arrgh!! Does anyone else ever feel like thier brain needs a holiday? :rolleyes:LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
i quite often say that i'd like to hibernate for a little while. Like you i constantly have the whole money-work-family thing going round in my head.0

Well I've made it home from work, tomorrow's packed lunch is made, dinner is in the oven and my car battery is plugged into the wall to charge up (trying to avoid buying a new one). I stopped at the petrol station on the way home and blew (is that a word?
) up my tyres as well to try and make my driving more economical.
Felt exhausted at work this afternoon, to the point where I could hardly concentrate. Had a bit of an upset stomach too which didn't help. Ended up resorting to the godess of caffiene to get me through...not a great solution. I'm off for my riding lesson tonight and then I'm going to come home, wash my hair and get to bed by 10pm. Hopefully that'll mean I'm a bit more energetic tomorrow...fingers crossed anyway.LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Ha I am SO with you on the brain holiday, mine would benefit from being taken out and plugged in to charge like the car battery!!!

Been having a busy couple of days at work (thank god, it's about time!) so haven't been on as much this week. Was my dad's birthday yesterday as well so me and OH went round to thier house for some (free
) fish and chips.
Progress in the last couple of days:- Got confirmation from new job that they have got my references and will be in touch with a start date early next week
- 3 NSDs this week so far
- Paid £35 to virgin yesterday to make a nice round £700 of debt repayments this month
- Stuck to healthy eating plan (aside from fish and chips
) and surprisingly have not actually been hungry - Decided that I want to join PAD again after payday because doing something everyday seems to keep me on track - will make sure there is enough money left over to achieve this next month
- Have discovered that thankfully I don't have to pay the tax on the amount of my tax free bike I have paid so far when I leave. Means I will only need to pay £250 (rather than £500 )
- Have remembered my iron tablets.
Right, back to work...it's great to finally be busy again!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
i like the PAD thread as well, but this month i started from a negative position so i've been trying to make up the gap rather than increase it by sending the money elsewhere.0

That's great news about the tax on the bike, what a relief for you!0

Yep definitely a big relief on the tax kittikins, means I can plan things a bit easier.
Lemon tree - I know what you mean, it's a bit weird sometimes to think that if you are overdrawn it might be better to leave the money in the current account rather than pay it to a 0% card.
Had a brilliant riding lesson tonight, really hard work, feel like I've had a proper work out. I am so unfit again! Just got my email offering me my 2010 place in the Great North Run because I couldn't do 2009. Feeling guilty about how much my exercise has slipped recently and I'm feeling nervous about getting on the scales. It's not good, so tomorrow's two main tasks: 1) weigh myself 2) go to the gym after work and get a good sweat on!
Have charged up my ipod (at work of course :money:;)) so I should be good to go...LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Have just been watching cbeebies in anticipation of my friends bringing their 6-month old baby to stay next weekend. Feel strangely sleepy now...LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0

God I am exhausted. OH is out and I was going to spend the night catching up on some of my sky plus and watching the doctor who I downloaded the other night. I can barely keep my eyes open though...would it be wrong to go to bed before 9pm on a Friday?
Made it to the gym this afternoon anyway, I ran a mile on the treadmill, did 10 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on the rower. Doesn't sound like a huge amount but I was wrecked after that, can't believe how unfit I am either! Weighed myself this morning too.
So no more excuses, tomorrow I am doing my fitness plan and I am definitely going to stick to it. There is absolutely no reason why not, so long as I keep taking the iron I should be okay energy-wise.
NO. MORE. EXCUSES.LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0
