    Hi all,

We've just set our date for 1st June 2012 - the same day my mum and dad got married, it would've been their 50th anniversary next year but sadly my dad passed away 17 years ago. Wishing was able to do it 2011 but it's a bit too soon for us. Only 22 months saving to go!
  • Lots of 2012 brides it looks like

I have not done anything for awhile now.. The last thing i bought was the other day when i got made 2 x pearl necklaces & bracelets for my flowergirls....

    Hello everyone,

I'm hoping to be a May 2012 bride. We have picked a date and started getting an idea about venues etc and are planning to visit a couple of wedding fairs over the next couple of months. TBH im a little lost and not really sure where to start with planning. It still feels like quite a way away... I don't even know if i've done it right by picking a date before a venue - its all very confusing. :S

    heya everyone

Im going to be an october bride in 2012

    We've got our date - October 20th

I have already started buying little things and putting them away and have found pretty much everything i want but we are buying 1 thing a month until we are all ready.

Because where i live will be involved with the olympics loads of venues are offering discounts for events between september and the end of november so venue should be nice and cheap

Buget is set at 20K but 7.5K of that is going towards getting the OHs family over and accomodating them

So really budget is 12.5k including honeymoon and everything else.

Original estimates were closer to 30 (after the families travel) but after finding MSE I have managed to find so many suppliers that can offer me exactly the same stuff for a fraction of the cost (which makes OH happy)

So what do people think 12.5K to do 60 sit down meal ceremony guests and 100 (extra) evening reception guests?

Not actually engaged yet have decided we want a short engagement so not getting engaged until 1 year before the wedding.

AND (lol i no i go on a bit) my babies will be big enough to be properly involved then which will be nice

any one got their colour schemes or anything yet???
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

double mummy that is a very doable budget, i suspect in london the prices will be dearer than other places in the country
your main expense will be the venue and catering costs next so once youve researched that-do it and book now at this years prices if theyll let you- youll have a better idea of what you need for other area of the wedding

im not sure on colour schemes yet as i might keep changing my mind cos its along time away!
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

    Hi all,

We've brought our date forward due to too much hassle i.e. can't decide the where's and what's so now planning on eloping next November during our cruise - fingers crossed we get to the licencing place on time :D. Then home to a nice meal with family, knew I'd get this wedding done cheap!
