Well I took my dress to the lady who is going to do my alterations and because I am wearing flats on my feet I need about 5 inches taken off the dress!!! She also worked out how much material I need for the flowergirls and it is a lot more than I expected but I have priced it on Abakhan and can get the lot for around £80 so I am pleased. Even if it costs another £15 per dress to make then thats just over £150 for the five dresses which is good as I am getting exactly what I want :)
Got my tiara and tried it on with the dress and jewellery and its just perfect!

    Hello everyone

We went to look at a hotel yesterday and we have decided we really like it. The lady said she is going to hold the date for us for a week. How many off you have already booked your venue? Is it too early to book? We don't want to look at any other places as this hotel is nice and a good price/deal as well.

Hope everyones plans are going well:D

    Heya Laura

If you love it go for it but make sure that you get everything that you have agreed upon in writing. Even all the small little things you have discussed get them in writing. (and dont lose the bit of paper lol)

A lot of places around here the popular dats (xmas easter etc) are already booked for 2012 so grab it before someone else does if it is really what you want

Remember to ask if there are any plans for redecoration between now and the wedding or if there will be any changes made to the building/gardens/area where you are getting married

    Congrats xxx

  • Hello everyone

Nice to meet you all this is my first time posting as we just got engaged a month ago but have decided on September 2012 for our wedding! Eeeek I'm so excited I could burst!

Wanted to give ourselves plenty time to save as well as plenty time to get what we want. Aberdeen is v. competitive wedding wise. Had a productive weekend and so far provisionally booked venue, Humanist to do service and meeting with photographer on Tuesday.

So so chuffed! Got the date at the moment but in case someone else can't do it we're keeping schtum til all the big stuff is done.

Are you guys sending out save the dates given you will know your date further in advance?

Good luck with all the planning xxxx Jo

    good luck xxxxxx
