We are hoping for September 2012. We got engaged last Thursday and are just starting to look around at venues etc. I brought my first Wedding Magazine today, £4.90!!!! I don't think I'll be buying many of those!

My fiance bought a similar priced magazine...and then we went to a wedding fair where they were handing them out like sweets! She wasn't very happy!

im going to be getting married 09.06.12 as its the anniversary of our 1st date. We are running away to crete, where my h2b both proposed and bought my engagement ring.

i've found my perfect dress but wondering what all you other 2012 brides are doing with this respect? I'm a size 18. I've got 2 years to diet. Do I buy my dress now and risk succeeding in losing weight? Or do I leave it until next year, see how the diet goes, and risk losing my ideal dress?

Yoohoo!!! I'm a 2012 bride too!! January 2012 for me.
Started planning about 2 months ago, venue booked, dress, shoes and undies bought, flowergirl wands made and my bouquet nearly done, all ready to get stashed away!
Lots and lots to do
Will tell you all more when I can reveal what we are doing!

Hi Ladies (and gents)

Im a 2012 bride too, We got engaged jan 15th 2005 and we booked about 4 months ago for 14th July 2012. We have our venue booked. Iv choosen my dress but im holding off on buying it. Dont really have a budget as moving house next year, plus my mum and dad have offered to pay towards quite alot of the wedding,so cant complain there and very grateful.
Im taking some time out just now, only thing i want to do is sort out wedding insurance then i dont intend to do anything till i go to the scottish wedding show next feb then i'll prob be throwing myself into planning ( thin monica from friends,lol)
Im looking forward to it.

How did you manage to be engaged for so long without the wedding!!!! It would drive me mad!

I'm hoping to go to the Scottish Wedding Show in October, hoping that they have lots of lovely ideas for my winter wedding! Seems like a few folk getting married on your date, my wee cousin is aswell

DF proposed a couple of weeks ago whilst on Holiday:D My ring is still getting re-sized, hopefully i will have it back on Friday.
