afternoon all! hope everyone is having a good low points day...
I'm on a roll at the moment... no not a bread roll! Dropped kids off to school and DD to nursery and then straight to the gym. Did bums & tums for 55 mins, toilet break and then straight into Hatha Yoga for 50 mins, and then 7 mins each on the e-spinner bike and 10mins on the treadmill ( 175 calories burned off in 15 mins!!)
Came home shattered but made myself a lovely omlette with olive oil cooking spray, 3 eggs, s&p and added some salmon slices for a lovely brunch!
Feeling really good about losing weight this time! Have the time at the moment to get to the gym, (which is free!) enjoying making food from WW recipes (trial works out free!) and feelng and looking much better already.
Lexus - couldn't resist jumping on scales while i was at the gym - and shows me at 12.8lb!!! not gonna get too excited coz will use whatever weight i am on monday (WI day) but sure gave me a boost and a smile on my face!
sorry for the long post guys, but for the first time in a long time, i feel realllllly positive and excited about losing weight. I am doing it for me but changing the way my family (DH & 3 little ones) all eat to help us all become healthier & fitter and make us a happier & more active family. Been taking the kids to the park more than normal to get us all some excercise together before dark nights set in, joined them up to karate classes and swimming classes......and feel really happy with the way life is going at the moment...
gosh, reallly sorry about the long and rambling post! must be all those happy hormones rushing around me.... off to the shower! xx0 -

Well done you!! that's really fab!! :T :T
I have never got on with gyms personally - have joined a few times and attended for a few weeks then forgot it! I always felt too conscious when I am there - but saying that, I was going in peak times after work when it was packed!
I have been on the wii fit this morning... intended to do half hour but keep jumping on for another go everytime I walk past the lounge ... lol!! I have felt a rush of energy today and am whirlwinding around with my housework!! Maybe I should think about finding a quieter gym where I could go during the day.. I'll see if I can keep up the wii fit first!!
But again, well done plzhelpmesave! :T :T:T0 -
Wow well done plzhelpmesave! :j I could do with a bit of that energy and enthusiasm!
I can't eat bread (IBS) but can eat bagels (3pts) or a pitta bread (2pts), somehow not quite as versatile as a slice of bread though.
I'm struggling a bit with family dinners? Normally it'd be something like macaroni cheese, corned beef hash, chicken in sauce with (white) rice, lamb hotpot, lasagne etc but those recipes all come up around 15+points.What sorts of thing do you do for dinner? I'm feeding 2 adults and 2 under 3's.

check your pitta bread points - mine are coming in at 2 1/2!!
They're nice with a dairylea light slice and a little bit of ham and then stuffed with salad.
I cut it in half to make it look bigger before I eat it.:o
Pasta bake is your friend - one portion of fresh cooked pasta, then stuff yours with casserole dish with vegetables and just a little sauce, all in a separate dish from the rest of theirs. Bake them all in the oven at the same time. Not a cheap meal at about 7 points but still very satisfying.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I'm feeding 2 adults, a 10 year old and also 2 under 3's.
This evening, I am planning to do either lamb (which will be with vegetables, so no extra points.... I will try not having potatoes but it'll be hard so I may just have a couple of roasties with mine!!). And actually, gravy isn't as bad pointswise as I thought it would be... I will make mine up seperately tho so I know how much I can have!!
I did buy some steak too... will do that tomorrow and grill it with a huge salad..which will be about 7 points - it won't be the same without proper Chips tho!! Mind you, a portion of oven chips is only 3 points so I will see how my points go tomorrow so I can have some!! I'll have a feast of no pointers... tomatoes and mushrooms during the day to make way!! mmmm!!! lol!
Have you looked at some of the recipes on the ww site? I found a couple of nice ones ... one was a balsamic chicken with roasted peppers and leeks... looked lovely... may try that over the next few days... you could always add some potatoes of some sort for the other members of your family.

Thanks! That's given me a bit to think about. Trouble is there's very few veg that I like and salad for me is iceberg lettuce + orange pepper, as I don't like the rest! The eldest of my two is a very fussy eater and doesn't do salad at all
Add that to a limited shopping budget and virtually no kitchen (just an alcove with cooker/sink/microwave/fridge - no worktop at all) it can be tricky - esp keeping the little one away from the cooker!
Oh, and my Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club box of goodies arrived today :EasterBun
Will go check out the recipes on the WW site now, thank you!0 -
Well I have had a rubbish day, not even going to bother to add the points up, Ive just done my online shop for next week and have bought loads of ww meals, so hopefully will do much better next week. Ive not ate chocolate or anything just loads of packs of specicial k mini bites and 4 yoghurts.
Get a grip of yourself woman!!
Well done everyone whos stuck to it today.0 -
Aww kaza, never mind, it's just one day and it sounds like you're all organised now!
Must admit I can't see me sticking to this after the 3 months are up0 -

Mine is due tooMaybe i'll give it as a gift  Over my points again today - but saying that on weigh day I had lost 2lb so am now 11.2 which is the lightest I have been for about 2 years!! So even though I'm going over my points the fact that I'm thinking about points means I must be eating less than before. That was the result of 2 days sticking to points :jTomo is treat day
going out for an indian and drinks so shant bother trying to be good - i've earnt a treat for being so starving all week!!
