Oh dear YB you seem to be going through the wars lately. Hopefully all your bad luck will be out of the way before the wedding!
I have been making progress this week:
dress collected after being altered
underwear ordered
my ring collected
have been told my jewellery is being bought for me
found a photographer
ordered flowers
bought BM's wraps and shoes
started exercising and dieting like mad (a bit late but never mind!)
Still to do:
vows/readings
confirm final numbers
make candles for table decs
finish favours
table plan & place names
& loads more!
Only 4 weeks tomorrow for me, it is coming round really quickly :eek:Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
oh god... my ring...i completely forgot I still need to order that lol
mollymunchkin the next couple of weeks will fly by lol Im sure only yesterday it was over a month till ours now its 2 weeksMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
Re. order of service. Do you normally have them at civil services? We are getting married in a hotel so there is no singing, just some readings, etc. Should we bother with them or not?Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

Hmm I dont know about order of service for a civil ceremony.
We are getting married in church and to be honest most of it is the words to the hymns, so if your not having hymns I dont see why you would need them
On ours I have done a cover with the wedding date, our names and a little design, then there are 3 pages, saying the song I am walking in to, then the first hymn, then says marriage ceremony, then a hymn, then says prayers, then a hymn, then signing or register with witness names, and then the song we are leaving to.
If you wanted to do something as a little keepsake for people, maybe you could do an order of the day rather than an order of service?
So you have a little run down of how you expect the day to go...when the wedding breakfast is, when the party starts etc?Married on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
Well, I survived my hen weekend (just). My BM did a fantastc job and I enjoyed myself so much...or so I believe.
Still to do:
BM jewellery
My jewellery
Songs for the disco to be picked
My bouquet needs to be made
Decorating the cake
I got my makeup last week (Clinique free stuff offer in Debenhams) and the table plan is done after much discussion! I think I'm pretty relaxed about it...12 days and counting!0 -
had a pretty good weekend here
saturday morning I went and had my hair cut, so its looking all nice now ready for the wedding
then I had my make up trial which was great
then we went to see the florist about the table centres, and got all that sorted and paid for
bought the paper to wrap the favours in and the ribbon for it as well
received the confetti and bags friday so I sat and filled the bags in front of the telly on saturday, also got a nice basket to put them in at the church so thats sat ready to go now
all in all a productive weekend...oh and we went to church yesterday to hear our banns being read for the second time....excitingMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
It's all getting far too close for my liking. I'm starting to worry that the day will just go over far too quickly!
Ten days left, but as I have the whole of next week (Sunday to Thursday, anyway) to finish the little trivial things off, it'll all be fine.0 -
it will definetly be fine littearfer
i think the best thing for us all to do is try to sit back and enjoy it all a bit, dont let it just flash pastMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
I'm so busy with work I've had no time to do any wedding things for about two weeks...except the hen weekend, obviously!
As soon as work's done on Thursday it'll be nothing but wedding planning from then on0 -

I am in work today, but hoping to have the rest of the week off (as long as I can get everything done lol) then i can spend the week finishing everything off for friday
