Just realised a lot of other months have there own thread for brides and grooms so thought Id start one for March

So whens the big day and what have you done so far/get left to do?

Mines, 27th Feb so close enough ish

Everything is sorted, booked and paid for except for the honeymoon which I am still negotiating the itinery with the specialist travel agent.

lol very nearly march then

well so far we have

booked church
booked reception venue
got my dress
got suits
got funky shirts for the lads to change into in the evening (they arent suit people really so thought I would let them relax in the evening - plus I couldnt resist when I found shirts with vws on them lol)
picked colour theme - brown and ivory
made and sent out save the dates
designed invites but nto made yet
picked bridesmaid dresses - ordered one to check everyone likes it
picked favours - just need to order
got photographer
organised person to do cake...but havent picked the design yet
made (well decorated) flip flops for my bridesmaids to change into in the evening so they dont get sore feet from all that dancing lol
got some bits for the ladies loos for the reception
got some kids stuff to keep them entertained
got jars and stuff for sweetie table

oh honeymoon .....

we are going to the lake district for a week after the wedding, the two of us and the dog we have booked a cottage for the week, it looks lovely and even has its own hot tub lovely jubbly

then we are having a 'proper' honeymoon in june when we have to go to canada for my cousins wedding, so we are going to stay there for a couple of weeks and travel around a bit ( as mse as possible lol, cheap motels and borrowing my aunts car ) but we havent booked anything for that yet lol

We have cut back heavily on the wedding mainly on guests from an original list of 120+ its now down to 40, so we can have the moneymoon we want.
The honeymoon is costing double what the actual wedding is!

Thailand for 3 weeks: Mix of City/Beach/Spa resort/Trekking on elephants/ Jungle treks to stay with hill tribes.
With biz class flights as its the first long haul flight for my OH.
Not cheap but when i read the itinerary I drool with anticipation, the way I see it is the wedding is for friends and family the honeymoon is just for us.

i really wanted to go on a safari type thing, but we jsut cant afford it lol not with a few other weddings to go to next year

am really looking forward to both our honeymoons tho, will be nice to just chill out in teh lake district, go for a few walks and cosy up in front of the log fire with my new hubby and my dog
and it will be nice to go to canada and actually go for a bit of an explore...i have been a few times but only ever visit my family, ive never ventured more than a couple of hours from toronto, so really want to get out in the wild a bit mroe lol
