lol heres some recent 'complaints' to me
the woman who complained to me as i push te stair door to see if its open
i do this with every stair door, and i mean push as you would an unlocked door, not trying to kick it in!!!
according to her i was breaking the magnetic lock  .thats fine,i wont do it again.
same as i wont redirect all the wrongly addressed mail she gets for flat 1 when she is in 11
the customer who complained i knocked instead of using the door bell. i generally dont use the bells unless i can hear them ring as i push them.they could hear me knocking so is it an issue?
customers complaining I didnt sign for their item
customers complaining i left a card and didnt just leave the item at the door
customers complaining I'm at their door 'early' when they have a before 9am SD item
etc etc0 -
Do you have one of those wireless doorbells that run out of batteries? One of my pet hates when delivering, take it down or buy a battery!
Yes it's got batteries in and it works. It normally gets rang frequently on an evening when various children come round looking for mine, and it drives us up the wall:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....0 -
;25514471]CityLink (or Sh*ttyLink as I call them are the worse).
They never ever knock the door - just bung the car in.
Recent nightmares with CityLink:-
1. Guaranteed 1pm delivery of a parcel. Guy turned up at 7-30pm and when reminded him it should have been there by 1pm he told me I was lucky to have it at all.
2. Parcel supposed to be delivered by Citylink one day. No parcel and no card. When we phoned the depot they said delivery man had had no reply (there was someone in all day) but had run out of cards to put in the letter box. More like had been nowhere near my house that day!
3. One CityLink depot managing lose my parcel between trying to deliver it in the day and the evening when I went to collect it. Again, wonder if they ever had it to deliver.
Sounds like they're aspiring to offer the same levels (or depths) of service as their namesake company.
This topic got me thinking about the current postal strike and the sheer cost to Royal Mail of compensating all the people whose parcels are sitting in the warehoue in Dartford and will never get delivered. Surely that's a ridiculous waste of money or is that the point of the strike action.0 -
Ah, Citylink! My "best" experience with them was when they helpfully delivered two books into a bin at the side of my house ( I hadn't asked them to, btw ) which had a puddle in the bottom as the lid was broken. I had been using it for recycling stuff and hadn't got round to fixing it.
By the time I found the books they were a soggy mess!My favourite subliminal message is;0 -
I very much doubt that he is "lazy" but I suspect management have given him unrealistic target times to finish his round, and he can't spare the time knocking at the door and waiting for you to get your sorry !!!! out of bed.
Laziness YES, the fact he could not be bothered to do what the sender PAID to be done, that job that he is paid to do yet somehow couldn't, is in my book is sheer laziness.
If its too much for him to do, management could quite easily get someone less lazy to do the job. Even so far as deliver the parcel in one of those red things they drive around in.....oh yes. a Royal Mail Delivery van.
Assuming as you say, management have given the postmen unrealistic targets (weak excuse IMO for a NON service), I can only suspect that Royal Mail are not trustworthy enough for ANYONE to pay them a service of delivering parcels to people or companies via the Royal Mail, so should always opt to go with an alternative delivery company with a more realistic target
At least that way there is a more realistic chance the postage paid will include a guaranteed delivery to its destination.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

They offer a !!!! poor service, then strike because they're not happy with the money, overtime, temp staff, or whatever new reasons they can think of.
I can think of thousands of people right now who are out of work, who not only would be too happy to do the job for them, for less pay and more hours, but also do a damn site better job in doing it, regardless of faulty doorbells, house numbers and sizes of letterboxes they encounter.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Lol, no aside from the poor excuses ive read on here upto now "doorbell not working, letterbox too small, too much mail order catalogue items, no numbers on the doors" you have to remember the Postal strikes are an annual event for the postmen, it is after all coming up to xmas. I don't think I've seen a year in when they haven't striked.

How can you do that? The second anything comes through my door whether it's spam or not I dart out of my seat and scurry down the stairs in anticipation.Male.

I do sympathise, I have had jobs directly working with the public before and unfortunately dealing with idiots is part of that. However that is a different issue and doesn't excuse postmen taking the !!!! (whether their fault or not) with the 'while you were out cards'. At the end of the day the consumers pay for a service and deserve better than to be lied to.0
