i think the poster who forwarded this thread to the company in question has been somewhat irresponsible, since the OP can quite clearly be identified by them, since the original email is copied word-for-word in the first page. OP I'm sure you have nothing to worry about but I just think it was silly for someone who is not the OP to bring this thread to their attention.
OK clearly their customer service is appalling and they are rude, but it isn't like they killed anyone, or even did a shoddy job or ripped someone off. this thread seems to have been blown completely out of proportion now...

Sort of what i was thinking too,

What would be the reaction if AA1 put the OPs name etc on the web?

I’m surprised they haven’t registered on here and put their side of the story

The following link may be of interest:
http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/59053/notices/808869/all=NP10+8QW

All ties up with the records at the gas safe register for the company and the WHOIS info for his website. Companies house have a different address but i suspect it's for an accountant as lots of businesses seem to share the same address which isnt uncommon.
That his website is still available and his responding to emails etc doesn't necessarily mean his still trading though.

I leave you to make of it what you will ..

So he's a bankrupt which is why his wife is the sole director of the company.

Company was set up in middle of last year, presumably when he knew he was going under.

I had a phone call from them at approx 1730 this evening. I said "hello, hello?" The response, I quote "you've made the biggest mistake of your life sweetheart, putting that on the internet, biggest mistake of your life". End of phone call. I do wish I had just ignored the first e-mail now.

:rotfl:

What an arrogant !!!!!!.

He'll get his, OP..... forget about him. People make rods for their own backs sometimes and he's obviously not got the brains to realise that. He'll be on Rogue Traders next. :D

That's also a breach of the Telecommunications Act - using the telephone network to transmit abusive or offensive content or messages.

Hey, AA1 Plumbing - if you're reading this, do you want to land up in front of a court of law on such charges?

A lot of posters playing silly games on this thread. I say a lot of posters rather than people because I suspect that some of the newbies may be one person in lots of guises.

It also doesn't make complete sense in that Newport and Swansea are 50 miles apart so a plumber is hardly likely to travel 50 miles to give a quote on a fit only service.

I'm unsure that digging into the insolvency of a company is warrented just because they refused to quote - its not like you've lost money is it?

If you must know i was actually looking for the link between open-all-hours plumbing heating & drainage and aa1 plumbing and heating as previously mentioned. Anyway the obvious google was via postcode which came up with Mr S Rogers (note there is a difference between individual and company) going bankrupt and so i felt i should post it as it's obviously relevant. Open-all-hours has been wound down, aa1takes it's place but with his missus as director.
Mr Rogers may well be an excellent plumber/heating engineer whose fallen on hard times, having a bad time of things and in-excusably taken it out on the OP...which is my interpretation of events (his plumbing skills i obviously would have no idea about).
